indeed this is why shorters have the playing field tilted in their direction.

However we have truth on our side, truth about the company fundamentals and truth about the manipulative tactics that have been used to try and prise shares from the hands of underinformed holders.

The truth will out and eventually those shorting will run out of holders that they can mug. Then those shareholders who thought that they could jump on the back of selling momentum will face the choice of when do they buy back in, or where else do they go to find a better researched long term opportunity on the stock market.

Uksteveg - loudspeaker seems to though. The platforms that one might suspect the most are those that offer both share buying and spreadbetting alongside one another as they would appear to have an incentive to use the shares owned by the former to underpin short betting on the latter.

What do people think we should do about this ?

1) Do nothing but get annoyed
2) Contact the FCA and ask them to investigate those auctions
3) Re-establish any anti-lending limit sells to try and prevent any share trading platforms from lending out their shares to would be shorters.

Endion - we have seen many occasions where shorting clearly has been happening in greater quantities than 0.5M so there are clearly ways around that restriction.

Compass - naturally 15% of a company generating revenues of over 200 million USD and gross profits of 150M USD is not going to be purchased for 6M USD. From the start everyone here has been clear that it would be some sort of combination of cash, equity and perhaps delayed royalties. With so much growth in both Vametco and the Vanadium price recently it makes sense not to rush into a valuation based upon assuming the highest Vanadium price we have seen in the last decade. Fortune will negotiate hard and with both eyes towards the future.

SOTRR - Tando is currently valued at 16M GBP - how much would it cost them to build a new mine and Vanadium processing plant ? 180M USD minimum. So think about the dilution they would have to accept. We at least have a steady source of cash to potentially allow us to take on cheaper (maybe even non-equity) funding for Mokopane.
