not at all UncleJohn. I have analysed pretty much every days trading here in the last 3 years and it is most definitely not a requirement that there be balanced trading on a daily basis. The Market Makers are clearly adept at holding positions over the weeks to months timescales.
not a lot from PIs it would seem - the Bed & ISA at 10:46 was used as a pretext to lower the Bid at that point, but anyone who knows anything should not have been fooled by that, or any of the other games that have been on show this morning.
what all this nonsense this morning tells us is that they are trying to bash the price down to get their last little extra bit of profit from their short or whatever trading strategy they are using. They don't need to do this in the middle of the swing because the MMs are simply moving the price for them, now they have to do it because they are concerned that the MMs have concluded it it is the bottom of the pattern. That is why they are trying it on now and we've had people already kicked out this morning.
The MMs will hang around here to see if they can pick up some cheap shares then, without any warning, they will start moving the price back up, and then it will be first in who gets the last of the low prices that have been advertised here for the last couple of hours.
Fortune goes on to say that he can see the merit in moving to the FTSE main market, especially the FTSE250 as it would bring significant liquidity and II investment and at 50:50 says you've 'got to pick the timing correctly' - I agree and very much greatly enjoyed watching the rest of the interview through again.
Drifter88 - the other possibility is that the AIM market is rigged to be systematically shorted by the Market Makers and various attempted hangers on. This will all change when we inevitably get off of AIM and onto a proper market such as the London main market, which such luminaries as Ferro-Alloy-Resources (6 share trades this week already !) manage to get by on.
52MW ? ahhh I see that they have taken two of the numbers that they have seen in the press release (50MW, 2MW) and added them together. They should really be adding the Energy Storage Capacities together as they are true extensive physical properties. i.e. you take two batteries and ask what is the energy storage capacity compared with just one.
Power is not as it depends HOW you wire the units together - if you wire two batteries in parallel you CAN deliver the power into or from the battery at twice the rate, but NOT if you put them in series as the VRFB and Li-ion systems appear to be in this hybrid.
This is a call for ALL news reports to show the Energy storage capacity in MWh and NOT to report the power rating (MW) which is often irrelevant.
