Dav3J - this is one of the interesting things about the large and persistent PI holding base here. Normally the PI's sell out at 30%, 100% profit, 200% if they are lucky. It is very unusual for them to still be holding at 1000%, 2000% profit that some people have here. They are still here because unlike most normal companies they genuinely have a great grasp of the potential for the business and realise that they may never get another chance like this in their lifetimes.

Add in the prospect of dividends and they are even more likely to hold - normally by the time dividends are being talked about the PI's have moved on and the II's can still step in at what is still a discount price.

daitom - yep I agree with that - it's not immediately clear to me what the 248K trade is

Pdub - your attempts to turn this into a personal you-against-the-world, you-against-alfa, you-'correcting'-alfa-over-the-meaning-of-the-word-criticism as a way of deflecting the justifiable and relevant criticism of the performance of Mr Meyer has simply not worked.

I am pleased that you will no longer be commenting on the subject of Mr Meyer so that the rest of us can get on with promoting the business more effectively than he has ever done.

My sense of humour is fine thank you Pdub but that is not the point of this board.

The point of this board is to analyse the prospects for Bushveld Minerals - its resources, plans, the trading in its shares and its PR both it's own and that put out by its paid for Broker.

If that Broker makes a series of mistakes that materially misrepresent the company then shareholders have every right to question the appointment.

They should do this having first considered the possibility that this could all be some cunningly devised Baldrick plan to undervalue the company for some brilliant yet top secret strategic reason. If this was war then such subterfuge might be considered as a serious possibility, even de rigeur.

But this is not war and I have concluded that the Baldrick scenario is not a likely one - specifically that Meyer is not acting in this way at the behest of the company to deliberately try to keep the share price down ahead of a potential JSE listing.

jogj99 - well if that is the case then he shouldn't have mentioned them at all. The law doesn't state that if you don't mention the association then you have to mention the company but have to put the boot in.

Pdub - those reading will be 100% aware that I am not criticising you I am asking you to be consistent.

The person I am criticising is John Meyer who is paid to represent the company in a field that he claims to be an expert in but it is evident that he doesn't know that Largo measure their production in tonnes of Vanadium Pentoxide.

If our Broker and so-called mining expert cannot even get this right then how on earth are new investors meant to get it right ?

If our Broker makes out that Largo produces nearly 4 times as much product as we do and then NickD comes on here to tell us that Vametco should be valued at 62% of Largo then what does that do for the credibility of NickD's estimates ?

Pdub - indeed the action that you took was one of self-imposed exile - I quote your own words:

I think I see what his problem is.

He thinks that Largo produces "10 moving up to 11 thousands tonnes of Vanadium a year" [4:30]

Evidently he does not appreciate that the production figures for Largo are expressed in Tonnes of Vanadium Pentoxide V2O5 which is only 56% Vanadium by mass. The actual mass of Vanadium produced per year is 5600-6200 Tonnes per Year.

BMN on the other hand expresses is output in Tonnes of contained Vanadium.

This is a pretty shocking error to make in a subject where he is repeatedly going in front of the cameras and microphones and claiming to be a mining expert. There is no excuse for such a fundamental and significant error.

For the house Broker for BMN to make such a mistake, the last in a sequence of public gaffes, is for me now the final straw.

I shall now be writing to the company to request that this unsatisfactory situation is brought to an end.

TnT - I'm afraid I've seen this post before - it's all very tedious stuff and the idea of calling it a fuel is just complete tosh. Sorry but I give up when I see ill-informed hyping nonsense like this.
