Pneumonia isn't a virus, it's a generic lung infection caused by bacteria, virus or fungus.

The reason that we have negative excess deaths in the last couple of weeks is down to the upper age ranges where they had massive excess deaths in the weeks prior. People can't die twice, so there are people who would otherwise have died last week who actually died a couple of months ago.
No, Covid does not *necessarily* lead to pneumonia, but given that it is a respiratory infection that requires a test (whereas pneumonia does not), there are many countries that have had a spike in pneumonia cases where they haven't been testing for covid.
