It's very simple guys. Angus have to give the Council a minimum 7 days notice before the work over rig arrives at the site. Which Angus did on 16th November. Seeing that a revised one was updated in the Councils files on Monday 19th November then they either had to change some wording or perhaps a diagram. The Council registered it on 22nd November.

So that would mean 29th for the rig and its support equipment to roll in to the Brockham site.

Council doesn't have to post an online statement saying its been notified, Notices have to go up on Old School lane and adjoining roads as its listed as one of the prerequisites on the Council side of things to do.

As for the fuss over the noise monitoring equipment. As like any mobilisation timeline it is or it will be in place as per the terms. To even bring it up as a potential issue is really getting desperate.

We should see a busier Brockham site when the drone is next flown. Exciting times ahead.

Your statement speaks volumes "why start production over xmas period when costs are high" Costs aren't high as the oil industry is dead. Which means companies don't even have to pay a Christmas bonus for working on Christmas day. Even gifts donated by service companies for the Christmas raffle are either scaled back or canceled all together.

You don't even know the costs involved, so thats another factually incorrect statement.

Production doesn't stop for anyone. I hope that clears up that subject......sigh.

Not sure how you expect any industry to stop work over Christmas...but for the snow flakes...drilling rigs and production sites work 365 days of the year.

Do you honestly expect them to perforate a well and then shut it in because its the festive period? Its a PLC company lol.

Looooong sigh........the oil industry is a 365 day a year industry....no such thing as shutting down for Santa. Lovely thought, but sadly very wrong.

Youngba - yes you have seen the part where Angus needs to give 7 day notice for the rig to arrive. Now the council don't need to make a public online statement, but like other scenarios parking spaces being used for TV film crews or request to develop a property is the usual laminated notice tie wrapped to a post on Old School lane and surrounding roads.

And yes again to how the meetings conversation has been recounted. Angus are not carrying out a work over. It's a commercial production test. I think the councillors have got confused with the term Work Over Rig. A work over rig is a smaller sized version of a drilling rig hence the 55ft mast height. This rig can handle 2 singles of drillpipe as opposed to a 95ft rig which can handle 3 stands of drillpipe.

What I've focussed on within that Parish Council statement is the 7 days notice required prior to the rig arriving and a leaflet posted on the surrounding road informing of this.

I am surprised that nobody has seen this....or have they? lol

Yanis - Angus are shockingly terrible for PR. which is a pity as the videos they produced at the bringing of 2017 were very good. Use your business Twitter account to nip these annoying stories before they take root.

During the placement announcement I said we could be perforating circa 10th December as long as equipment was steadily rolling in to the site.

I am waiting for Gifted genie to do another great drone video (he had intimated last week that he would visit some time this week) and then I can revise the perforation date after seeing how how much of the site rig up has been completed.

Regarding SP...I do note UKOG has taken a hit as well.

If you hadn't heard. Angus are about to to the Weald's first commercial production test and with the site preparations have to remove that large cumbersome nodding donkey. As I said before this is to allow for all the well test ironwork and equipment to be spotted in specific places. That nodding donkey is right in front of the fuel tanks. It would be different if the well was free flowing as you could still produce from it.

But seeing we shall be producing from BRX4z then we should see more oil than you would wish to see I'm sure lol

JA51 - oh tut tut. The nodding donkey was removed for 2 purposes. Firstly to allow the remaining large fuel tanks to be spotted in the bunded area and secondly for the well test with all the equipment that has to be placed in that area.

Degsy - Angus have satisfy the EA and provide the information regarding the 3 preconditions. EA have issued the new permit which supersedes the old permit that Brockham was working under.

The new permit has been issued which included the 3 preconditions that have to be met before the testing can take place.

The decision document is dated 22nd November, so Angus may have already satisfied the requirements. But its wrong to say the permit is in place.

What is strange is that UKOG is down the same percentage. So I don't think our drop is due to the DOD article.

Judging by what previous posters have said in the past (trusting they sent them) is that Angus doesn't respond.
So don't be too disappointed if they don't.

Angus are not going to release an RNS. We've had the situations before and it just doesn't happen.

What s prudent is to use their Twitter account to post a quick update. That certainly doesn't hurt. Or even more equipment at the Brockham site.
