Nice to see them wire logging part of the well. I don't know what LWD suite they used for drilling whether it was just Gamma or normally Resistivity (which tells you if its oil / water or gas), but if they didn't see something to interest them then they wouldn't log the well with more fancy wireline tools.

Logging doesn't = Payzone, but it's a nice tweet to see than just drillpipe just going in and out of the well.

You are quite correct the RNS has superseded the C37 presentation. It's a shame they advent updated the information.

Regarding how I have been posting comments and quote from the company...I don't need to change anything, as I do put them in quotes and also post the links...I hope that clears that up.

Taking the RNS "Well deepening activities are expected to be completed during approximately 30 days" then we have have a lot more time to go before expecting results. Judging by the amount of tweets showing drill pipe being made up and run in and out of the well....I don't think they started drilling until the earliest of 23rd of August yet they had a full derrick of pipe on 28th August (bit change so soon?).

So 2nd September the tweet had the Geologist looking at Middle Eocene formation samples....well that means we still have a minimum of 300m plus to drill.....before we get to the fun stuff.

They won't be drilling at full steam with a brand new drilling package, so that will slow things down for the first well. Better to get to the finishing line in one go rather than breakdown trying to break speed records.

SEA7 / Kelsbells - I've taken this information from my analysis on Zenith which I posted on Twitter. So hopefully they stop in the Middle Eocene and do a Production test (700bopd seen on C22) before drilling to 2nd target in Upper Cetaceous.

gkb47 - your last post which was well written contradicts the previous one where you stated "why with your undoubted experience did you invest in Anguish Energy, or maybe you didn't?"....inferring I had never invested in Angus which is a very peculiar things to say?

I didn't say what are you "doing here"...I said what are "you doing?" in reference to what are you going to do.

Normally with an investment you just have to worry about trolls in cafes, weirdos in lay-bys, failed curtain sellers, paid derampers,......yet we experienced I don't think another company has gone through (feel free to bring up other corporate disasters).

And yes it is obvious to everyone that we were systematically misled. I flagged multiple times on the drilling side where what they said didn't make sense like only having one bridge plug, stopping work to let the guys off for Christmas, rigging down the surface line for the well testing equipment 5 days before the RNS.....and a lot more which I may add I got slated for...yet each time I was right.

Will Balcombe come good? Who knows...what I do know is the trust / feel good factor has gone and folk quite rightly analyse everything Angus say and question why. The scary thing is the Balcombe well test finished as per the RNS on 2nd October 2018...almost a year ago.....loong sigh.

Where is the investor forum that Lucan promised us? That would and should have been introduced a long time ago and would have alleviated some of investors questions.

Ezhik - I agree with Zebediah16 regarding timelines. The key part of the tweet showing the Geologist is they state “….Middle Eocene formation target zones” That is the first target before hopefully doing a production test and then drilling deeper to incept the Upper Cretaceous target zone.

The Mudloggers (Geo Log) will take samples at designated intervals (normally every 30ft throughout the well for Oil Company records, but also to meet Government requirements), but if we are to assume drilling is so low then could be every 5-10ft. When you get close to critical stages of the well (geological decision point to set the casing then you normally drill 15ft into the formation for the rathole) or in Zeniths case the top of the Upper Cretaceous. In this case they will control the rate of penetration and at times stop drilling to circulate a bottoms up so the Geologist can analyse the cuttings as the logging tools will normally be too far behind to see it. The Driller will also see it through slower ROP, erratic torque.

I don’t know the geology in the Middle Eocene, but any volcanic rocks will slow ROPs and may even necessitate a bit change as its very abrasive.

If they have bought a new top drive for the rig then they cannot drill at its maximum operating range as they have to bed it in (rather like a buying a brand new car where you can only drive at a certain revs for xxxx miles). This would also slow the actually drilling stage.

Main thing is they are making progress and fingers crossed for a production test before drilling the lower Upper Cretaceous section.

I don't think Tidswell is hopeless ...he's shown it to every one by drilling from the wrong well at Brockham. He only had 2 wells to choose from lol
Hollis as we agree is awful and I must add they did 2D seismic at Lidsey in 2015 or 2016...so why are they doing it again? Ask the Technical Director...sigh.
Vonk did all the talking as Tidswell was inept and then had to place due to operational screw ups....

Drilling a well isn't rocket since but Tidswell certainly made it like that .....hindsight is a great thing and could anyone predict what would happen.....could you?

Charlie - first thing you're taught in the oil industry is Geologists can't make up their mind and actually make a dam decision even when there is only 1 answer.....seems like Andrew has proved this lol

imac1 - what you have to remember is Andrew Hollis is Angus Chief Geologist who sanctioned both the Lidsey and Brockham wells......well they didn't go too well did they.

Balcombe was drilled by Cuadrilla in 2013...the Weald pioneers. The 7 day flow test which wasn't really as that includes all the rigging up, rigging down and coiled tubing equipment failures.

So yes what Andrew said in the conference call (I'll be honest I haven't listened to it) regarding the 300bbls....well that is a big difference in numbers compared to the RNS....or is he quoting Angus 25% share of the daily production...hence 1,200bopd? Who knows as Angus can't even take a salinity check right.

What investors want to see for whenever they finally do the EWT is a long duration of production to give meaningful numbers rather than a flow rate taken over 3o minutes and then calculated for 24 hours .For instance 10bbls of oil in 30 minutes = 480bopd flow rate....but physically its not.

As I posted before taking a long break from here...and I still am to be honest, is that Angus Balcombe is a risky punt with the SP around 1p. This is due to their inability to tell us the truth and deliver the goods.

Firstly thank you for the compliment.

Now lets be quite clear that the post was in response to a lot of trolls posting disinformation about the operations that were taking place.

Yo falso failed to say that I was the first person to state there were issues at Brockham 5 days before the Angus RNS just going off drone footage....sigh.
I also said that getting rid of Vonk was a very unwise decision....yep sigh.

If you had bothered to read the previous post regarding Balcombe instead of just seeing the posters name and trolling....you would see that I am writing a balance post which you have never done on here (something to do with never buying a single Angus share perhaps...Mmmm?) Positives: they got good flow rates (duration we don't know) and slugging due to the separator capacity on surface (why didn't they think bigger capacity instead of going cheap?) as well as changing the tubing size.
Negatives: they never did due diligence and read through all the Cuadrilla drilling reports to see how many bbl of completion fluid (Brine) was lost to the formation. So they assumed it was fraction fluid even though a salinity test would prove it in minutes......long sigh.

So no its not a water issue like Brockham...its a lack of background research and basically doing a simple test any mud engineer knows on Day 1.

And you never bothered to read my whole posts as if you had you would have read "I should also add after Lidsey and Brockham I am highly wary of anything Angus reports." Longer sigh

I have been following Zen for a while and I've posted my analysis on Twitter (link attached) detailing the potential for the company (which you know having already invested).

I also emailed Zenith to say their tweets could have better descriptions rather than just saying "Drilling Operations" when they are quite clearly on surface with a derrick full of racked back drill pipe.

I actually got a very speedy reply from Ippolito Ingo Cattaneo (Business Development & Investor Relations) who disagreed with my points and said running in pipe and pulling out is classified as Drilling Operations. I disagree with his point of view. In the Oil Companies AFE the entire section from making up the drilling assembly, running in hole on drill pipe, drill out casing shoe or in this case deepen the hole, circulate bottoms up, pull out of the hole, rack back drilling assembly is classed as a phase rather than an operation, as its broken up into hours / minutes for each operation. It's not lumped together.

Sadly Zenith won't be expanding on what they are doing which personally causes some folk to get irritated as it feels there are long delays then all they see is drilling operations mentioned.

I also mentioned that they are not promoting their other social media pages to get more investors talking about Zenith which intern helps the SP. Again banging on a wall. Especially when #ZEN just gets drowned out by spiritual posts.

Judging by how long they have taken with respect to making up and racking back stands of drill pipe and the lack of mud in the waste pit and most importantly no photos of production test kit on sight and how everything takes a lot longer to rig up etc. It would appear we still have to drill the 15-20 m as I would expect an RNS for the production test prior to drilling into the Upper Cretaceous. Though I could be wrong.

All the best guys as this could be an interesting share to have if they plan everything right and we have a bit of luck on our side.
