Agentic AI Private Companies;

Several private startups focused specifically on agentic AI have secured substantial funding at high valuations:

Scale AI: Reached a valuation of $29 billion in August 2025 after a $14.3 billion investment from Meta for a 49% stake.

Anthropic: Valued at $183 billion after a $13 billion funding round led by ICONIQ in September 2025.

Glean: Achieved a $7.2 billion valuation in June 2025, specializing in enterprise knowledge discovery using agentic AI.

Adept AI: Secured a Series B funding round at a valuation of around $1 billion in March 2023, with over $415 million raised in total by that time.

Inflection AI: Reached a valuation of $4 billion by mid-2025 before being acquired by Microsoft.

xAI: Increasing its funding round to $20 billion, with additional financing from Nvidia.

The agentic AI market is characterized by larger seed and early-stage rounds and higher valuations compared to traditional software companies, a trend driven by the high capital needs for compute resources and the potential for rapid scaling.
