I know where you are coming from as regards the RNS, but when you release something so ambiguous, then It is always open to interpretation, which is not good.
sitting on hands as the picture will become much clearer when we have number to back up the progress.

Definitely keeping us guessing as to how well we are actually doing. slightly ahead of market expectation?

The whole tone of the RNS is positive, without giving actual numbers, cannot wait for the actual results now, hope they update us soon with an actual date for this.

Totally get where you are coming from, which is a very cautious approach and this more than likely suits your style of investing.
Everyone has different reasons for investing and taking a risk here and there is part of the fun, as long as you are playing with money that you can afford to potentially lose. Everyone should have a get out strategy and stick to it.
Liked the comparison to horse racing, but in every race there has to be a winner. This particular stock is not based on being lucky, on maybe finding some gold or other such mineral in the ground or other such long shot, but has the IP protected (green) products which appear to be commanding an ever large share of the market.
Based on the information that been uncovered on Itaconix by quite a few of the posters here, we should have a very positive update, but who knows.
Good to get a balanced perspective on this board, we are good at listing all the positives, but are there any negatives, really hard to think of any at the moment.
I know FOMO is a terrible thing, but for me personally at the moment, it is far too early to be looking at top slicing, may kick myself, but that is a risk (or is it) I am willing to take.
This is all in my opinion

As you say there is a level of honesty on this BB and I am sure that we have all been involved in buying a share that we wish we had left alone, chased ENQ for a while, but gave up on it, cut my losses and made a large investment here, as I see huge potential, sometimes you just have to dig in and not get swayed by the market movements, these are sometimes swayed to catch those of a nervous disposition and encourage them to make rash decisions, I would guess in the favour of the bigger players in this game, who will seize on this opportunity.
I for one will be holding tight, think this may be seen as an acquisition target in the not to distant future, as has been muted here on a few occasions lately, Only in my opinion.
Would Investor relations be willing to say if the Trading Update will be released this month? the fact that it will be released should not be an issue I would have thought, only the content is confidential, many other companies publish the release date well in advance, just a thought.

Think the SP has been driven by positive sentiment , generated through the likes of this BB
The new operations VP appointment big positive.
New sales VP, huge positive
Increase in staffing in production of product, positive
New products coming to market all the time ,positive
Increased revenue positive ? (still to be updated via Trading update),
As regards new products coming to market, Itaconix cannot reveal this, therefore as Chilting has alluded to, we need the Trading Update to paint a clearer picture. I guess COVID has played it part in delaying this or it could be strategic, with further positive announcements that dictate the release.

As you say this is the first day we have finished in the red for a while now, (we cannot complain, as it has been quite a meteoric rise to our current SP) cannot go up all the time, guess there will always be days of consolidation, taking of profits etc.
Guess that today was one of these days, as nothing had changed as regards Itaconix fundamentals.
Days like today provide an opportunity to top up, could not resist.
As you say tomorrow is another day with new products being launched and who knows what other news may be released.
