Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Every time this nugget posts the most negative spin possible just go to watch the most recent COPL presentation again. I did last night, again. After watching simply determine who is more credible and what is more likely.
If it is Chicken Nugget then best to sell and move on
If it is AM's COPL then stay, or indeed buy in at what is ludicrously good value for the asset.
It is absolutely true to say this continues to be a harder journey than most thought and the tree is getting violently shaken to this low SP. I might even go lower BUT go back to the video watch and make your choice. I doubt very much that nugget as anyone's best interests at heart.

Surely that would be a positive action then. It prolongs the pain short term but medium to long term creates a very expensive present for mega oilers who will be watching and window shopping at this time....
So placing or not there shouldn't be a concern

Agreed but if they are filling a large order they will find those shares, limit others so that it is orderly and, as now, release again. I am not a cheerleader for MMs but always like to ensure I check the veracity of information so I know for future. I am not sure that example would reasonably align with manipulation. Are there other examples?
Big Bear, on what basis do you know they are 'fekkin' with it, beyond any reasonable doubt. There are buys and there are sells. I am genuinely curious on what can be seen that does indicate suggested manipulation. I am sure that I am being naïve when thinking the SP is a factor of buys and sells i.e. if there was pressure to buy the price would go up. Why are you suggesting that is being held and how is that possible?
Thanks

Strikes me that the coming days will be some of the most challenging as we have built up to news , await its arrival and the SP response. Should that not go to the BB expectant timeframes some will be disappointed and give even more shares away to those that play this game better than most. It is simply not credible that, by autumn, the SP will remain anywhere close to this level, if the oil is there and the planned works are implemented broadly as planned.
A painful journey for sure and it is always darkest before dawn. Ignore both ends of the ramp spectrum and allow this a few more weeks and months (December/ January) to show its true value.

Completely with you Billbo - these are tough time for long term holders. The "so you should sell" advice is utterly thoughtless and glib. Quite right you should express the pain and frustration - believe me you are NOT alone.
For what it is worth, I do expect the end of the year to be wholly different and better as the oil will be flowing out of the ground and we expect $100+ per barrel to be sustained.
I hope you and every other decent investor can find the least painful way through what is a monumentally challenging time

Thank GOD for Tiburn - the voice of unrelenting reason and reasonablness. This BB is turning into a mad house - thanks for your efforts Tiburn in what are very challenging moments for long term holders esp those 40%+ down - hope is still there folks :-)

As do I - I feel your pain TUVOK but it doesn't change the baseline choices we have and the asset that is beyond any reasonable doubt about to kick the SP north, just we don't know the mechanics or dates; we do know the destination within the 6-12 months is likely to be £1+ which puts you and me 100%+ - not that many shares do that. Placings seem to have been necessary and look like we are churning the last of them with the backdrop of carnage across the markets.
If, like Bolton, this is not significantly higher 80p+ by autumn end then I will be extremely disappointed but again that is my timeline probably not recognising the complexities of the development of this MEGA find.
Have a good day
Not unreasonably...
This is clearly in no way as easy to execute all the different vectors that Art has compared to sharing an opion on a bulletin board. It is clearly coming together and it takes time - is a year too much time to get a 50-100% return for most - I would suggest not. On that basis, it is our expectations of timeframes that lead to the pressure and discontent rather than a lifelong expert in the field, professional and personally invested in success. Suggest December/ Janaury will lok decidely better but then that again is my expectation and I haven't got all the knowledge Art has. Do I trust he wishes to optimise this.... YES; Do I believe the SP will increase once Oil is flowing late autumn.... Yes; Can I wait - impatiently, reluctantly YES. If answers to any of those is a no then sell and find a share that you can answer YES to. This increasingly is tat for tat time pressure being created by this BB - it is pointless pressure, second guessing ART. He is delivering to his timetable, if that is not to yours then a decision must be made ....
New discovery £10+ once flowing - Art - take your time, get it right first time and let the SP rip.

Basically, as I understand it, they take the risk when they buy the shares, hence the very low price. They recoup that money when they sell from a higher to lower price - average somewhere in the middle (in this case 26-27p). They then use the money + profit to buy placing shares elsewhere - they really cannot lose (or at least far lower chance the PIs!). Their selling is entirely independent of the company news etc they are a vehicle for placing only and stay focussed o n that as to do otherwise would increase their risk exponentially - and nobody is going to do that.
