The price of ess and articles relating was out just after market hours on Friday. So would be interesting to see market reaction next week. If potential sale was within expectation then everything would be ideal but little frustrating that its taking time. But the concern remains, whether its selling below expectation but also whether the sale will even happen or not. The use of wording, theres no guarantee a sale will happen or not also put us on the edge a little. If it was in advance stages then that wouldn't have been stated hence adding caution to the rns a little. Inho again

Shorts has dropped which allowed the share to rise 100% from the lows, this was the case with many other shares because of the vaccine news and ftse bouncing as a result. Also, the trading statement that helped aswell. The volatility will be there i reckon for many shares next week etc imho. But anything can happen. If we all knew wherever its going up or now then we would be millionaires. Gla

Drizzy, if ur holding this for a year or 2, then it is most likely ull get ur target price. Tbh, I wouldav bought in on that rns my self if i didn't have existing position. It baffled me why it dropped and looked alot weaker towards the end off trading day. It does seems a retracement people been talking about is happening imho. Macro economic factors, like brexit and Johnson idea of strengthening the tiered system hasn't helped. Also the vaccine from Oxford fluked it to get 90% after offering minimum dose which wasn't trialled. Other thing that may have cause the price to drop on that rns is, people taking profits, traders selling out but I think for me, the sale process has been gone on for months, they mentioned in exclusive talks. I wouldav expected this would be in advance stages by now. With December and Christmas coming, the delayed on the sale can end up into new year. This is all in my opinion of course.

Trebor, in the trading statement, they specifically mention, they will not breach covenants this year which is good enough indication to suggest a placing wasn't forth coming. The initial rise was due to miss march of market cap v potential sale of ess. Market cap went as low as just under 400 million, it was significantly undervalued at 23p went expectation of the price of ess was higher than the market cap hence the rise. Imho

Dave, if the ess was to go for 500m plus, this wouldav been sold by now, ess went through the 2nd stage of bidding, and two major bidders backed out. Hence why bloomberg reported they had offer below 500m. So this sole bidder most likely to have offered below 500m. Thus far, 2 articles are saying 350 to 400million. So it all comes down to this exclusive talk they're having. This is all in my opinion of course .

This article suggest they had one single interest, so in order to analyse this share, we should assume capita accepts lower end of the offer as there's no competition, capita will push to sell.it higher hence the note stating theres no guaranteed a sale will happen or not etc. So it all comes down to brexit negotiations, impact of tiered system, and covid etc. All in my opinion. They are winning contracts. Just required further reorganisation for it to be a good outfit . Imho

I think the expectation was 500 million plus, if it comes below that, market reaction will negatively affect the share price. 100 million to 150 million less than expectation for a profitable business. Debt is 1.1 billion. This bring it down to 700 million to 750 million debt. Although the cost cutting helped swallow up 100 million loss during the pandemic. Financial times suggested they need to sell other part of the business to be in a decent position. I was surprised the city and institution didn't jump for the share price to not hit 50p plus today irrespective of the markets. The rns of speculation to me tells me that for share price to drop from 52p to drop to 41p over the past two days must've been due to someone who had insider info and knowing the ess sale price for it to drop massively hence the rns of media speculation we didn't hear off until this evening.

Expecting on this news to break above 50p.. business has been resilient through the pandemic, their cost has vastly reduce through closure of sites and homeworking, more contract wins throughout November. And now the sale off of Ess in advance talks puts them even in better financial footing. Surely capita would not go into exclusive talks so it means they've got the price they want and are pushing through with the sale.

Don't think he'll be getting his 35p. I can see this staying above 40p and could test 47p and above. Ex0ecting tr1 as free float is reducing and sells are being swallowed up. Stayed above opening price and saw steady rise throughout the day. U can't even trade this share because it isn't as volatile as it was in the 20s. Gla all in my opinion
