They actually made an operating loss of £51.2m in 22 against an operating profit of £40.8m in 21.
This translated to a pre tax profit of 261m last year because disposals were used to bump up the profit and 100k this year for the same reason.
It's there in black and white in the financial summary at the end of the RNS.
They are muddying the waters in how they are reporting due to business exit costs and monies received from disposals.
Which is why although there is some improvement, until these disposals are out the way and one off costs attributed to them are written off, a true clear picture of the companies profitability is too vague.
This is why earnings per share dropped from 16 p to 1 p this year.
All in all flat to not good.

There we go again, dreaming lol in every agm, majority shareholder will vote in favour for buy backs as a normal procedure to ask....yet sharehead believes because it was on their, it was happening ha...i mean they need to make substantial profit to buy back. Not with a loss hahah jokes imho

Yet u made it out, by twisting it to make it out I had interest in buying haha...yet ur still stuck in your own little world going against the share price reaction to results, against all the media articles, going against other shareholders who have held longer than u ever had imho

Capita expected to be affected too imho people based business with around 50 k employees...yet to receive an uplift I hear... serco in better position to pay out hence below statement..capita on the other hand, well, more chance on strikes than payout imho.

I go back to my post of the past, when I said, the share dropped on trading update 7 odd weeks ago. And questioned what mustav changed in those 7 weeks for the share price to have gone where it did in anticipation of HY1...what surprise were Investors expecting? ...now I realised what that 'Surprise' was...it was.....drum roll ' a DUD result' and investors falling Into someone's else's dream like sharehead and nofear...using buybacks and dividends to draw interest definitely got nieve investors nursing their losses...on Thursday out of hour trade, someone bought around £155 k out of hours share at .2950...that's gambling! Loosing near to 10k over night imho
