RE: UBS reiterated its "sell" recommendation TP 110p7 Sep 2024 04:02
BTs revenue is consumer driven. Just think to yourself, if as a consumer, food cost are up, and taxes are going up. People are struggling to even put food on the table. How would a normal consumer priorities their cost? BT along others are continuing to up their price driving customers to cancel packages altogether. Why buy BT sports when you can go to your local pub and watch their, or go to your friends to watch a football match. People don't have time. People work multiple jobs to survive, to pay Β£50 plus per month is unjustified. As more and more drag into paying higher mortage rate on renewal, the more retail sector suffers because consumer cant afford to get basic stuff to survive, people who will be losing winter fuel allowance will likely to cancel BT packages which is a luxury and can live without. Expecting revenue to drop. Along side this, it has Β£20BN DEBT.
The next results day, BT inevitably likely to get spanked imv
UBS 'Sell' recommedation may hold some truth. It has drop near Β£1 before. Every more chance it could happen again.
