One thing we should all have learnt from trading in this space is that patience is a virtue (some of the time) and when it’s not it’s bullshit! Trying to second guess when, or what’s in an announcement is a fools game. Ditto oil&gas. DYOR and pray it’s right, if you’re confident stick with it, if not get better or go to the race track! My own penny worth is that this baby is well worth holding.
Wrong! I’m buying, adding in fact, not necessarily for a quick turnover, although that would be good, but because I believe gold et al are heading higher and I choose to have a position in stocks I believe will explode when this happens. SOLG should trade at a higher sp now so if gold hits a good run up, stocks like SOLG will outperform. That’s my bet and my money is placed.
guess you guys have not noticed the warnings.......the value of shares can go down etc......however you have my sympathy I do have been duped many a time with AIM shares who promise heaven (and the story looks good) and they deliver sweet FA. MIN, LGO, SER, MTA, SLE........the list is endless. However there have been highlights, sometimes with the same companies....LGO (CERP), RRL, UKOG, SER, TRP and many more, but it all depends on when you join the story - timing being everything - ORE I bought at 1.7p, so at 10:1 consolidation and a 15p opening price I'm still down? One then questions the prophecy of TW that it would come back to market at 4p, or 40p........a long way off if the 15p is correct. Whatever....you pays your money and you take the chance. This type of investing is like going to the bookies isn't it.
You would think they were high risk, but look how long MIN have been around! I held them when they were Loyalward with a share price of £2 (!!! seriously). We must be talking 10/12 years and they have survived........... somehow. It is one of the most frustrating shares I have ever owned. even with recent approvals and rubber stamping and Presidential decrees it remains in the doldrums. Not sure what will make it rocket. I'm currently out, but surely there will be a time to buy back in.........whether there will be available cash at that time is debatable. Patience is the only strategy....and boy you better have a lot of it. Bonne chance.
Like many of you I was absolutely furious when the company offered the last placing to institutions only at a huge discount to the then sp. I sold all mine on principle and was then persuaded that, as it was still such good value, to swallow my pride and re-invest. Stupidly I did, so now both pi's and institutions sit on a nice loss and the board have well and truly shafted us all. Let's see how the next placing is supported. Although if they were good value at 50p and were excellent value at 40p at the current 15/16p they are an absolute steal, Christ knows what they'll be called at 10p. I for one do not care and will invest elsewhere regardless of their potential.
