Many of the so-called “real investors” — who are clearly knowledgeable and often contribute positively — regularly complain about the presence of persistent FUD posters. Yet despite having the ability to filter them out, they continue to engage, respond, and give them attention.
In doing so, they end up perpetuating the very behaviour they criticise. At that point, the distinction between the two becomes blurred.
The board has the tools available to improve the quality of discussion, but they are rarely used. Instead, it remains dominated by arguments, egos, and point-scoring, particularly from a small, well-known group.
It’s disappointing, because this board should be a place for genuine investors to discuss the company’s progress, fundamentals, and sentiment in a constructive way.
Unfortunately, until that changes, the overall quality of discussion is unlikely to improve.
