It seems more clear to me now why wen moped from the Oslo Stock Exchange , you only need 75 % acceptance from Shareholders to sell the company as opposed to 90 % at OSX. . Snatching easier then. How many % are private shareholders ? Will be difficult maybe to organize resistance.
They say they aim to be operators when opportunity arises. Maybe they take over as operators in Ruvuma or Mnazi when they have enough cash to buy out ? Ruvuma seems like a good deal. At least Scirocco shareholders are furious.
You are correct damofarl, but this stock is not for day traders. Just confirming that the new president is eager to get this done. The lng facility will without doubt secure the value of wen and reduce the risk and open up opportunities beyond the arrangement with TPDC. Time to attempt a buy-in in some new gas field in the neighbourhood ?
Wen has to adjust the map to the terrain. When nothing much happens, people tend to get stressed. But for wen there is not much to do but to wait for the demand to increase, pay dividend and buy back stocks.
It seems that they have enough gas to meet the demand, so no need to unlock more before needed ? The gas market outside local demand and pipeline is non-existing for the time being. The field is said to be huge enough for decades to come. If and when LNG plant is built then we have a different situation and wen will need to drill a lot more. This is my understanding. BR
