Existing (outgoing) Board have a lot to answer for. Complete mis-management from the moment they took over focused more on lining their own pockets than building a sustainable business. Huge debt racked up chasing vanity projects.
Previous Board of Hogarth & Martyn (please bring them back) spent two-thirds of their time with clients or with their teams so always knew what has happening on the ground, providing hands-on leadership and capitalising on opportunities. Most of the current senior team did not come from a recruitment background and therefore have been learning as they go at the expense of clients, candidates, employees and now shareholders. Ask a member of staff when is the last time Chris Pullen visited a branch or a client for anything other than a photo opportunity.
