George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
snudge1234 needs to stop telling people it is 15% withholding tax in ISA's with W8BEN - WRONG.... it depends on your broker which has been established many times. Don't think putting a question mark after your statement covers you when giving financial advice.
Ok, you sold out, I averaged down. Time will tell who made the right decision, if it's you, you won't see me crying to anyone who will listen. We are all just gamblers. Maybe try the Samaritans. They are good at listening, and I've just made a donation. I'll filter you so we don't fall out. No wish to upset you. Maybe blame the shorters ?
Are you in Anglo Pacific sidi ? (talking of coal). Last day to get in before three dividends in 13 weeks, and it's down today. I've done very well out of AP over the years, although it is undergoing changes.
Just had my notification as well. Think I will give this one a miss, considering it will up my average, and the next dividend isn't until January 2022.
Had a couple of top up's in Anglo Pacific, last day to qualify for 3 dividends in the next 13 weeks.
Did I really say "toady" ? Well, I am seriously overweight in AP now, holding in both my ISA and share account, which I don't usually do. One in profit, one at a loss. Can only go two ways from here, but the dividends will be welcome.
Yes there are benefits with two accounts, and drawbacks. I usually find my spare cash is in the wrong place when I need it. My other account is with Jarvis owned X-O, which is very basic compared to I-web, but it does the job. Slightly more expensive but I have moved a few things over because at least they seem to accept investments in everything. It annoys me that I-web and it's associates will not give any reasons why they won't accept certain investments. All I ever got out of them is that they have monthly meetings about which companies to exclude.
Haven't got my PB Gore shares yet, but got the remainder of my cash back this morning. Also didn't get 10 of the dividends that were due Thursday and Friday. Would love to know if Lloyds, Halifax and I-web all sit in the same office, or are in fact the same people. I suppose I-web comes last when they have work to do.
Last time I tried PRS we weren't allowed to own it (Lloyds/I-web etc), although they do seem to be relenting on a few these days. I would have tried the PB offer but would only have wanted it in my ISA. Loopup - I had never heard of, and didn't look any further despite the huge discount. Again, I've never come across TGA, but hope it continues for you.
Well, we don't want distant cousins getting hold of any money when we are gone.
So, got 2838 GORE out of the 5000 I requested. I've had a clearout of some low yielding quarterly payers this morning (Assura, LXI, with a few more to go when I catch up with the paperwork. Then I have added some Gore to my ISA, and ASLI, which I wasn't in until recently, with small top ups in Custodian and ICG Longbow. Just got to decide whether to buy DEC back with a different broker now. Probably left that too late, but will be watching for drops.
Got 15 dividends due in today or tomorrow. It keeps me out of trouble for a while.
It's not silly, it's the complex structure of the group we were recently mentioning.
OSEC is a venture capital trust, something I have never looked in to as an investment.
ORIT is a renewables Investment trust which people on here are invested in.
OOA is another venture capital trust.
I would say that Octopus Energy comes under the privately owned part of Octopus Group, so can't be invested in.
Wikipedia has some information - but it would take more time than I have to understand the situation fully.

Might stick with renting, then I'll have so much more to invest in Gore. Sat on Blackpool North Pier at the moment. Some real heat in the sun. Only here for a few hours though. More than enough.
