Are the bank of England really that surprised that UK inflation is still so high. I know energy cost have come down but look at beer costs now I'm paying £7 a pint now in some places.

There is allot of money in peoples banking accounts and people feel richer because their houses have gone up massively and instead of the government letting people feel some pain the government have paid everyone's gas bill

If i was Hunt i would encourage higher interest rates so houses prices get to more normal levels I would means test government support for energy then people would feel some pressure and maybe prices would start falling down a bit.

Pubs can only charge £7 a pint if people are willing to pay this so you cannot tell me there is a cost of living crisis! The bank of England should of raised rates a year before and we should be calling 4.25% high interest rates between 4-6% should be normal.
