Without question we were on the brink of insolvency and as a number of us said at the time, the GR loan was simply a tide-over (Wonga style) to get us over the line with an investor.
Being so far under-water, I'd decided there was no point selling. Now we have the funding, I maintain that stance. It's obviously worth waiting for the DFS because only at that stage will we attract some serious interest.

Due to the Lenigas connection, I speculated over on the PREM board a few months ago, that this could happen. If we see any meaningful share price appreciation, I'll be off.

degsie, you've conveniently missed out the share based payments which, although not a cash item, are nonetheless an expense to shareholders and form part of the overall remuneration package, which was established without there being any meaningful corporate governance involved.
Mr Strang's remuneration remains astonishing.
The fact they have reduced their remuneration is certainly a case of closing the stable door after the horse has well and truly done a runner.

I've lost count of how many times over the years people confuse nominee holdings with institutional shareholders.
As far as I'm aware, there are no real institutional shareholders here; and by that I mean people like Black Rock etc, etc.
This confusion is not limited to KDNC, I've seen it on many other shares and in some cases, where the company actually attempts to mis-lead people by claiming the nominee holdings are institutions.
Of course, some iis do hold via nominees, but the true identity of the beneficial holder has to be announced.

by the way, there is no real selling going on, so the mms' are simply involved in guess work.
Fukur, I've always felt that PS would sell if the price were right. He stands to make some serious money on exit (witness the changes in his compensation package) and although our institutions are rock solid, all of them would take a good profit if the opportunity arose.
As many of us have said, assuming a funding package is in place, this is the time to have sale discussions.
Who knows what's happening, but as RS said earlier, I just wish they'd hurry up and get the thing out of the way...one way or another.

I guess what it implies is that his "urgent application" was ignored. Bear in mind, it was over a year ago that he was just about to sue HMRC...which I'm not sure actually happened, and bearing in mind the cost involved, is hardly surprising.

I hereby announce an exciting new game: Guess the date when we receive an RNS stating the lights have been switched off. It will be sometime in July or August. The appointment of an Administrator will be followed by an announcement that "various family trusts" have bought the assets of the company for £2.87p which, after expenses leaves precisely two thirds of FA for shareholders. The good news is I'm 90% down and there is therefore no point worrying about it. Well done fat boy...great result.

I don't think it's a question of them being "excluded", it's a question of them having the funds; which they don't. And neither do I see them raising the funds. Who would invest new money into this project via KDNC? They wouldn't, they'd invest direct. Sadly, for shareholders of KDNC, they completely ballsed-up their strategy here and, from having a dominating position in the company, they are now an irrelevance to our future. Their role in defeating the original proposal to re-domicile was a deeply aggravating piece of grandstanding and cost us valuable time and money...and to no benefit for KDNC shareholders. Unlike some, and the public protestations of KM, I do not believe the relationship between the two companies is good and my guess is that PS largely ignores them. This is all a great shame as it was KDNC who got the ball rolling and, as much as I have zero respect for DL, it was he who bought this to our attention.

Sorry, but I'm not sure I follow this argument at all. If you're simply saying that KDNC don't have enough cash to stand their corner in the fund raise, I'd agree; they don't. As far as the jvs are concerned, PS in his latest interview was quiet open, he said that we will not see any action until 2024. My guess is that KDNC will end up with about 4% of the equity in the enlarged group and will be stuck in the frustrating situation of owning a valuable asset, but without the ability to do anything with it.

Sbuild, if a company has a notifiable interest it has to announce whenever it buys or sells, regardless of the amount. So I'm afraid your theory is incorrect.

I'm sure you are right. No one believes the evidence that has been amassed over a two year period; which is odd. With regard to your other point, I'd be surprised if they were being paid in shares, but who knows? I was also interested to note that some time ago PS switched emphasis as to where funding was likely to come from. Initially, he'd made great play about Asia. At the time of the re-domicile he started talking about London. I wonder if the NextView debacle made him wary of wasting time in China? And I reiterate my interest in being told what is happening with the COE legal action. It's pretty remiss that we haven't been updated on this.

Very interesting observation. I wonder if it has anything to do with the level of our ii holdings, which, let's face it, are second to none as far as AIM listed explorers are concerned. As a general comment; us long termers have always believed in the company and our view is shared by some of the worlds largest institutions, as well as a major Japanese trading house. Why is it therefore, that we've never caught the imagination of the investing public? The institutions have been given access to far more information than anyone and made their decision accordingly; which quite obviously was positive. I wonder why so few others have understood this? Clearly, there have always been risks, but these pertain to every small explorer, in whatever commodity, that inhabits the market. Additionally, thus far, the company has been able to address each of these risks and to put them to bed. We all know what the final remaining major hurdle is, but we have now heard repeatedly from PS that this will be sorted; so why doesn't the market believe him?
