SM, the penultimate sentence of the AFR article is the most puzzling, and the most worrying. In its most literal sense it's very worrying indeed, but I rather suspect it doesn't actually mean that. That one sentence encapsulates the entire conundrum and the truth behind it will dictate what happens next.

As for being offensive, that really is a case of the pot calling the kettle black. I'll call you out every time you are wrong - the fund raising issue being the most recent example. However, I also make a point of saying when you are right about things, for example, I agree with you about this slug character.

I wonder what the dynamic around the boardroom table is like at the moment? Right from the moment NM was given the boot and it was announced that he'd become an NED, I was of the view he'd find it very difficult to work effectively with a new CEO. SOLG was Mather's baby and his personality doesn't appear to be that of a man who's prepared to follow someone else. DC hasn't covered himself with glory and I imagine NM is hugely frustrated by the performance. Hopefully, this will provide the catalyst for some action.

I was crystal clear; any share issue which includes an offer to the public i.e the two you refer to, is pre-announced...for obvious reasons. Other issues which do not involve the public are NOT pre-announced and if you believe they are, please provide one example since 2016 (as far as back as I could be bothered )
Anyway, I've had enough of this conversation. You are wrong and your compounding your error every time you post.
Btw, when the next placing is announced, assuming we won't be given an opportunity to participate, it will come in the form of a statement outlining what has already happened...no pre-announcement. At that point, I'lll accept your humble apology.

Companies do not...I repeat, DO NOT, give details of failed fund raises. You've been investing for over 40 years, perhaps you can furnish us with examples when a company has done so? And if you choose to look back over the past six years you'll see that details of successful placings are not given until they are completed and not as you have suggested, beforehand. For the love of God, just look back at our announcements - the proof is all there.
