Bozi, agreed. That budget was meant to be totally revolutionary and pave the way to the sunlit uplands of a vibrant, free market economy. It did no such thing and merely tinkered around the edges...just like most budgets. And as for reducing stamp duty...We have a disastrous situation whereby millions of youngsters can only but dream of owning a home, so what do you? You pour petrol on the flames. Unless they government actually bites the bullet and removes the archaic planning laws, particularly in supposed Green Belt areas, such as the one which encompasses Leeds, supply will never meet demand. So how does this government address the issue? It decides to increase demand. Genius!

Fort, you make some reasonable points, but in my opinion it's not possible to disconnect the events of the past few months from the precipitous share price.

Fort, it's important to focus on both parts of the narrative and I'd have thought my post was easy to understand - we have something incredibly valuable and yet this management team have succeeded in halving the value of the company. I'd have thought that was pretty clear.
Incidentally, there's nothing minor about the issues I mentioned - they've had enormous impact on market confidence. I believe in the future of this business, otherwise I'd have sold my large holding a long while ago, but I'm deeply disappointed with the performance of this team. The board of any company has one objective only, to deliver shareholder value, and thus far DC has failed miserably.

It was interesting to note how Biswas referred to Cascabel and his body language at that moment. It was obvious he thinks it's huge and is only likely to get much, much bigger. He also implied the whole mining community is aware of this and that it may well be the largest discovery in Ecuador, outshining anything else they currently have a share of.
Okay, we all know this, the competitors know it, the market knows it, and yet...
Against this backdrop how inept does a management team have to be to have presided over such a calamitous decline in value in the space of three months? What actually lies behind the departure of so many key staff? What actually happened when the company tried to raise money? What's happened in re the theft of $4.5m? Why are CGP so quiet? Who's actually running the show...NM or DC? When are they going to raise the necessary funding?
Sorry for the rant/ incoherent rambling, but this situation really does beggar belief.

Trafigura has claimed the Russian situation and resultant energy crisis has brought forward the transition to sustainable sources by "five to ten years". An interesting claim, particularly given the cost and the fact that there is quite simply not enough copper.
If the world is serious about all this we should start digging immediately and stop fannying around with endlessly boring and hugely costly feasibility studies. In other words, do what our ancestors did.

Providing a video link is no substitute for physical presence. The company can avoid difficult questions and the board avoids the trickier follow-ups which provide far greater scrutiny.
Many businesses used covid as an excuse to scrap physical General Meetings, which they all hate, and continue to use this as a means of avoiding proper scrutiny.
I know the company will say the h/o is in Oz, but I'm pretty sure the majority of retail investors are based in the UK. It's time they recognized this and allowed us to have an uncensored voice.

There's a big difference between us and Fawzi - we have a lot of our own money at stake. Mind you, that's also true of DC.

The Stock Exchange web site describes the majority of today's trades as being off-book, so it would not be surprising if you're right.

was an interesting late reported trade yesterday of circa 2.5m shares equating to nearly £500k. It looks as if it was a buy. I think we've had a few like this recently.
