I wonder what the tax implications would be for both options? An indirect investment via a dilutive placing would not attract any tax, but what about the direct route? Clearly, we would want a higher valuation of the asset than is presently the case, but would a partial disposal attract corporation tax as a result of the implied profit?

Obviously, a 'direct' sale would be via a partial disposal of ENSA and an 'indirect' sale would be conducted by selling shares in the plc. Both are dilutive, but is one less os than the other?

SM, I've been banging that particular drum for a long time and it seems odd to me that people are ignoring what the company has said on this issue: No more royalty deals. A company can't simply continue reducing the gross profit margin without it impacting the viability of a project. Our board knows this, hence the statement.

Aside from their statement, you appear to be unaware of the governments condition and the percentage of revenue i. e top line revenue. they will take. Just how much revenue are you happy to see disappear? Suggest you listen to what the company says.

In all probability I will sell if a jv is announced, although it will depend upon the structure. For me if we go down that route we fall into the GGP category and it would become a buy further down the road. The opportunity cost of holding until production occurs is simply too high.
