As far as my understanding is concerned these trades were off-market negotiated between two parties, just like all of the recent large trades we've seen. The really interesting question is who are the two parties?

The trades were reported the same day. As I've said previously, the Stock Exchange did record them as late trades on Thursday.

Eloro , you've summarized the issue well. If this were an operating company producing revenue, profits and dividends, I'd agree with you about the sp reflecting, in part, the CEO's performance ( although there are numerous cases of a company's sp being on the floor despite the CEO doing a great job). However we are not an operating company and the sp is absolutely no measure of the value of our business.

SC is in the process of turning what we're sitting on into a saleable proposition and, due to the immense complexity of the situation, this is taking a long time. In this respect is it any different to any other explorer? No. Mining is a very long term game, and people who aren't able to accept the timelines really shouldn't invest in the sector.

Could NM have done a better job? Not in my opinion. He's never given the impression of being able to deliver the real nitty gritty detailed stuff that will lead to us being able to truly achieve shareholder value.

SM, absolutely right. Although the company has previously muttered things about a DFS being a quick step from the PFS, I've never really felt there was any conviction behind the statement. In fact, I don't recall seeing anything about this in more recent comms - although I may have missed it.

Of the various value enhancing building blocks which have been mentioned, the DFS isn't one of them and how you can raise $1.5bn without one, is difficult to understand.

Q, not strictly true. Given that a transformational disposal of this nature is price sensitive, if the sp started racing away a statement would be required. In fact, if we got to HoTs I'm fairly certain an announcement would be required.

I'm not sure of the modern rules, but back in the good ol' days when I was involved in this type of transaction, depending on the value of the assets being disposed versus the current balance sheet value, it would qualify as a Class 1 or 2 transaction.

Eloro, don't forget SC's statement about non-dilutive funding. The proceeds of a sale could divi'ed out and the plc, now only consisting of Cascabel, could raise sufficient working capital via this form of funding, to take us through to disposal. Who knows, we may even raise enough to pay off the current debt?
