It's been a long time since I've since the directors say anything publicly so this surely must be a good sign of good news to come ?
Confident piece on the dividend from the Chairman today: https://1lo.co/34eyF
Hey LeBadinho, looks like Marc Howells has given an interview here https://bit.ly/3vLU047
Popped up on my Google alerts this morning.
Revenues up almost 9x year-on-year and a gross margin of 52%. Business is on a much firmer footing and looks like it's on course for profitability later in the year.
Surprised there's not been more buys since the CBD good news broke...
Really interesting interview with one of the GBDY directors on this...https://bit.ly/3DyAJWe
Great stuff. I am invested because I see the market opp and demand is huge and Goodbody is really scaling up to capture it.
I think a lot of other investors will want to get on board as Blood testing, managing your Health, prevention of major illnesses and CBD are all massive growth markets and Goodbody meets the highest quality standards in all these areas.
This is a massive achievement for the company and great for consumers.
Trading Standards will be responsible for enforcement so a lot of cowboy companies and products will be shut down. Once the routine toxicology study is complete, this will be another massive boost to Goodbody's earnings profile.
Just catching up on this news... roll out of 100 Abbott blood testing machines (which they use in the NHS) to their existing network. Huge news :)
It says only the first tranche, so it looks like it's part of a nationwide rollout. They have over 1,000 clinics in their existing network plus all the new community pharmacies they are taking on so massive upside potential to drive additional cash flow and profits for them and their partners.
Good find LeBadinho. Hadn't heard of Randox Health. Played their 'men's health youtube video' and half way through this US lady said "men are not as dumb as they look"..... So not too condescending !!
To my mind, Goodbody's improving earnings profile remains unchanged and I am sure the full set of results in April will provide positive support of that. Hopefully investors will realise the shares are an absolute bargain :)
Sounds like an expensive bit of kit to have nationwide in pharmacies. It does raise a bigger issue of how Goodbody Health are going to tackle Cancer detection? Hopefully we will get a bit more info in due course.
Great to see the strength and depth of the scientific advisory board from this interview and what makes Goodbody Health different.
LeBadinho, agree. Looks like 'ramping up and rolling out the model in the UK' is happening at pace now and is three pronged:
- pushing more blood and wellness testing through their massive existing network seems a no brainer to me to drive incremental revenue, and then,
- they're signing up and training new independent community pharmacies to offer blood testing.
- evaluating and partnering with the best accredited technology partners. Abbott machines are already used by the NHS....
I see a big market for Goodbody in testing for Diabetes ??
https://www.diabetes.org.uk/preventing-type-2-diabetes/prediabetes
Article says - According to Diabetes UK, at the moment 13.6 million people are at increased risk of type 2 diabetes in the UK. If you don’t have it yet, and with the right support, up to 50% of cases of type 2 diabetes can be prevented or delayed.
A couple of buys in the last few days has already moved the buy price up to 3.90 against a backdrop of volatility in the market.
@ Alarno, yes, I like the space Goodbody are in. With GPs overworked and at a time when there is growing demand for blood testing. Makes sense if you can pop to your local pharmacy and get instant results.
On the recruiting, Ian Strachan says in the interview below....'we’re already developing the plans, the strategies and the training, because all these pharmacies will be trained up, in fingerprint testing, in finger prick extraction of blood and the analysis of those results, which will be integrated, of course, with GP surgeries when appropriate'.
Thanks alarno. Interesting read that Arden one. Need to back-up their initial Pharmacies doing the blood tests with a bigger roll out now because the 'public demand' is clearly there.
It's clear this Ian Strachan is a serious heavy hitter in the pharmacy world as Chair of the National Pharmacy Association. Sounds like he's going to be instrumental (and he refers to a team of "trailblazers") in supporting recruitment of the pharmacies and getting them up and running to deliver the Goodbody services. I am feeling more confident about their pharmacy recruitment plans now.
