Anyone trying to put down Novacyt is only demonstrating a big dollop of sour grapes. For the stock has only multibagged is it once answer no, five times no, 20 times no where near. how about 86 times between its year low of 6p up to its recent high of 517p!!!!! Eat your apple pie de-rampers and buy long, and enjoy the ride with the rest of us! Good luck investors, hard luck shorters.
Pumpky I don't think anyone has suggested NCYT will sell 8m tests per every month for the next year but they will sell alot thats for sure! I read the gross profit on each tests is 84%, so its not hard top see why this stock is getting so much attention, sales and distribution. They have a highly accurate test and have established a worldwide network to scale up production. This company is going places like the sp, onwards and upwards!
Great post Lockyer there must be a serious amount of money and goodwill for producing reliable tests and a vaccine. Moderna (MRNA) has just been awarded $543m to develop a vaccine, the world whole economy depends upon the success of the pharma sector to come up with something. Its quite difficult to know when to stop investing in Covid-19 related stocks, I'm in 10 already, NCYT being the most profitable thus far. Good luck to all genuine holders.
Mark as also lets face it its quite hard and expensive to be a truly nationwide player such as ESL, its easy to have a smaller region and compete just for that.
This is a case of real sour grapes on the part of this CJ Johnson driver who will probably TUPE across to Morrisons anyway. A smaller company with lower overheads charge more compared to Morrisons. Thats how it could be re-worded too.
The FDA role isn't just about approving excellent tests such as NCYT, its role also involved policing to flag up dodgy companies who have products making false claims. Having FDA approval is massive and helps other countries with big populations like Argentina and Indonesia move quickly to give it their seal of approval. Dr StephenM Hayn "We are particularly concerned that unapproved drugs that claim to cure, treat, or prevent serious conditions may cause consumers to delay or stop appropriate medical treatment, leading to serious or life-threatening harm"
Rtest - supplying tests for the NHS could mean two things. Supplying the whole of the NHS would mean every hospital trust choosing NCYT or does mean supplying the NHS mean some hospital trusts buying from NCYT. I would say the latter is the more likely scenario. I start at work at a major Central London hospital next week in the procurement department..............
agreed gggg21 I don't think we need to be worried if NCYT doesn't win every contract and perform every test - they are doing really well already, the SP is now holding well around the 160 upwards, plenty more to come I'm sure.
Mookster any large company coming in will swallow up and the contracts and absolutely need to retain the current staffing levels especially drivers and warehouse staff in order to service those contracts. No staff equals no deliveries equals no income equals no good. Some efficiency gains could be made by combining part loads and economies of scale.
