During the Covid Pandemic ,, RR SMR was established.

Meanwhile the aerospace sector is in a declined and the company decides to start developing SMRs … RR SMR was established in 2021.

Covid started in 2019 , flight time declined over the next year sharply.

Then during this period RR decides to take on an extra weight when their core business was at its weakest…

Share price drops during this period due to the pandemic meanwhile in the background SMR development happens, and probably was a high cost for the company to spearhead/ take on.

Think out the box, this SMR aspect may be very very important

London—Dentons has advised BNF Capital Limited on their investment in Rolls-Royce nuclear power Small Modular Reactors. Following the successful equity raise, the Rolls-Royce Small Modular Reactor (SMR) business has been established, to bring forward and deliver at scale the next generation of low cost, low carbon nuclear power technology.

The three investment partners, Rolls-Royce Group, BNF Resources UK Limited and Exelon Generation Limited, will invest £195 million across a period of around three years. The funding will enable the business to secure grant funding of £210 million from UK Research and Innovation funding, first announced by the UK Prime Minister in ‘The Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution’.

Great and now the CEZ group has infused them with cash, I don’t see other SMR companies doing this.. I only see other SMR companies just signing paper work for intent , not for epic partnership. Sure they sign a deal with tech company, but this is a hard game to get into.

And to be the first approved global leader…
