As a young man, born and bred west aus, I was fascinated by the telfer story; why, because it was a long way from nowhere and they were going to dig out a hell of a lot of gold and it was the most exciting find of an era. And I had the gold bug mainly down to my father prospecting and mining around Nullagine and Marble Bar. Not far from Telfer and just down the road from a town called Newman where I grew up and my family was in business for a good part of 15 years.
My father had always talked of the pilbara being a sleeping giant when it came to gold and when Telfer was discovered he was full of it.
The rest is history and now here we are with HAV. I would not have invested in GGP if it was not for Telfer and reading the above I just cannot help think of my father and those days without having a big smile on my face. Irrespective of the current share price. Good luck to all greatlanders. And as always thanks for your post bamps.

Freddo me old mucka - would have got back to you sooner but been lounging by the pool soaking up the last rays of summer. Been reading this board fort a lot longer before I decided to take a dip - boom boom swimming pool get it.
Like I told you I am hidra - he with many tentacles.
The 2 main reasons I (and the minister for finance & war) invested was newcrest & telfer. And they remain so irrespective of recent comings and goings. And all that god damn gold and copper of course.
U2 Z - thanks for your update. Picking up on the sod to ore comment I have come to terms with the fact (lost count how many times I have sworn at my screen) that so many on here do not appreciate how long it can take to get a project like HAV to point of mining and how relatively fast this has been for us (I know this from personal and professional experience). We are virtually on the last lap now to BFS with its finishing touches being applied as we speak.

Looks like it is good to clear the air sometimes bunky - does it not? Hope you are getting some answers to help you get through this seriously depressive point in the GGP story.
