RE: King - Court of Session20 Mar 2015 14:36
Most of you on here (even the idiots) have agreed that King stayed off the board in the hope that a Nomad would agree to take the gig. As far as we are aware, this has not happened.
It now appears King DOES want to be a director. Is this a double-bluff to scare off a possibly willing Nomad, or does he reckon it doesn't make any difference whether he is on the board or not, no Nomad will touch it with a bargepole?
...and, if he does "win" at COS, it will only remove one hurdle from his route to the board, it won't mean he actually becomes a director. If King is not as thick as some people think, he'll keep himself off the board for as long as he can, and distance himself from the club's operations, to avoid shadow director allegations. Only if the financial position improves greatly would it be in his interest to become involved. At present, he's just a shareholder, and this process may just be him plaing to the crowds.
His petition, I believe, only concerns whether his directorships with oldco should disbar him from a directorship at newco. It won't deal with his criminal past. Although I don't agree with it, I can see COS giving him a green light now, knowing that his criminal past will trip him up further down the line.
Bottom line, it won't make much difference. Admin by Christmas, if they make it past the close season.
