considering Liberum is paid by SLP i wouldnt take those recommends too seriously

where is the buyer, maybe there is,but i doubt, you talk as if the buyer is just at the door and is waiting to be let in. if there was a buyer, they are, by rule, obligated to let the market know. 'AST is in talks with a third party of possible takeover', they dont have to wait till last minute when they offer a price, any information they may have which may be viewed as price sensitive must be released, not sure about the time frame though.
