There are much safer bets on IAM and the main market - just look for well established companies that are temporarily having a tough time.

In regard to gold miners (not just KEFI) - the governments all over the world are printing tonnes of cash to pump into the economies. This is likely to push the price of gold to record highs in the nearest future.
If memory serves me right, KEFI was NPV-valued at about 5p purely on the basis of TK going ahead. The saudi asset looks just as good with less regulatory red tape. If (an I pray for it every night) both mines go ahead, with the updated forecast for gold prices companies like KEFI will be huge winners.

Just need some patience, some luck and balls of steel.

I recon, for low liquidity companies MMs set the price at whatever they want it, especially when there is little selling or buying pressure.
There were a few sells reported as buys today.

Furthermore, it pays to monitor bid and ask separately - the average can easily be manipulated by moving only bid or only ask when the volume is low.

Also worth testing the market with dummy sells and buys, as the reported bid and ask are not always what they are declared to be.

There were almost no shares available for purchase this morning. I recon 13% rise was because somebody bought £5k worth via an NT. Then there was a small amount of buys and sells going through. Not enough to shift the price, anyway.

My take on this: those who wanted to sell have already sold (into the spike or into the fall). Those who wanted to buy, have bought during the dip.

Looking at the low volumes, the recent drop was just because of very low liquidity for kefi and the overall market panic + some deramping on no news.

We seem to be all over the news today. Raising company profile for the "right" RNS to land :) Here's me hoping.

And what exactly has happened? Absolutely nothing show-stopping (perhaps, because there's not much of a show to stop). Yes, the RNS stinks of failed expectations and can hardly be called an "update", as it does not seem to provide any new information, when everyone expected a "cash received" statement. But the markets have overreacted I think.
ANS have either "misplaced" some of the money and are trying to find replacement, or are arguing over who's going to get what share of the profits for their inputs. It should be a profitable deal for them, so I'd imagine it will be in their own interest to pay up eventually.

Gonna microwave some popcorn for the webinar next week.

PS volumes seem rather low today and the rest of the market is getting hammered anyway.

Unlike the developed economies, where there are well-established, rock-solid mechanisms for unfair wealth distribution that people have, over the years, learned to accept, the developing economies' folk have to improvise. Stalling is one of the universal signs for wanting to re-negotiate, wanting a br.be, or simply looking to get ones position of power acknowledged.
