@B2H, the new patent application will be published at the earliest in September but, if a GB application, may be abandoned in favour of a later World patent application that includes the UK (this is a way to delay the invention being known). It will then be examined for validity and some years later it will be hopefully (near certainty?) be granted (awarded).

Well opti, Avacta currently only has plans to fund AVA6000 in one indication - SGC. Everything else follows from that...

What were you expecting? Particularly given that the RNS of 9 June announcing the AGM details stated "All presentation materials will be made available on the website at the end of the day and no new material information will be provided."

As usual, those that attend the AGM will get little hints and nods and winks that verge(!) on material new information but if, like me, you can't or don't want to make it into Peel Hunt's London offices for 8:30, then we'll just have to wait to hear from those that could and did, just like in Alan's days.

Looks like that was a big No from the shareholders then. It was never made clear what she contributed to the business and anyway whatever her role was has now been replaced by the new joiners.

@B2H, I think all it says is that CC regards Yulii as competent and, from experience, someone she can work with rather than taking on a new competent person whose personality may clash with her and her team. A safe appointment, and someone she can count on to support her.

Interesting comment. How do you know that these people are "massive in their respective field"?

@HarChris, enrollment is still continuing: "...the expansion cohort continues to enroll in the indication of salivary gland cancer" so we don't know how many are actually already on the trial and it does take a while until the first scan, so more data, as well as being preferable for stats purposes (qualitatively), is also desirable (quantitatively).

Dr Krishna Komanduri did give a presentation on CAR-T therapy ('Opportunities and challenges for cell and gene therapies for oncology and beyond') at the February 2023 Science Day when he was a member of the Avacta SAB. It seemed a bit out of place to me at the time but I guess it was relevant for AffyXell although AffyXell is (now) working on immunomodulation: autoimmune disease, transplantation rejection (SOT, GVHD), and inflammatory diseases.

Well there is a world of news about oncology out there; the board could be filled with it every day. As usual, HurstBot did not make any connection between Avacta and this particular bit of news.
