Just before Xmas last year this stock had a brief rally before a lurch on the downside, I'm out but looking to short again after New Years trading statement. GLA

.....off the table this morning. I think the market may just attempt to pull this stock back before the next leg upwards. Lets hope I get my timing a bit better this time !

..as I said don't bother. There are plenty of other stocks out there that have a more viable business profile and can easily be researched by each and every one of us without the smoke and mirrors ! If you're in it good luck, you'll need it !

Why do we need new research on these spread betting companies, its a bit like the banks issuing buy notes for high street bookmakers and other betting companies. If anyone wants to read it, I would say just scroll down to the last paragraph, that in itself tells the full story !!!!!!

Nice theory MIH. I don't think Tosca will look for a merger now with the shoots of growth now showing at Speedy. If anything it will be either Ashtead or the private equity boys that will now target this company.

And when I say bears, its those who shorted a few days back and are closing before the weekend !

Most of the buys today will be bears closing !

...as I said a few days back. Look for £4.00 ish before a short term bounce.

I wonder if we saw it today ?? Looking back to around 2011-12 this stock was stuck in a trading range of £4.00 - £5.00. I think we could possibly see history being revisited !

My goodness me that didn't take long , 50p hit today !!! History has taught us that with this stock it tends to get stuck at various resistance levels although it did sail through 40p. Broker recommendations for stocks in 2017 and with Ashtead reporting good figures and sitting on a bundle of cash, I'm now looking for a take out price of 70p ! I wonder what Tosca are thinking right now, they were looking for 55p !!!! Interesting times !

There is an element of comprehension there, but no doubt the board are already discussing ways of enhancing earnings for next year and beyond, i.e. increasing commissions on equity trading, widening spreads on CFD trading and reduced margins, thereby increasing the chances of automated closing trades (how many times do you get that annoying margin call text when you're at work and can't do anything about it ?). The lofty valuations of this company will have to be revised that's for sure but they will still maintain market share and that sadly still gives them an unofficial licence to continue to fleece us all !!

But there will be a bounce at some point but be careful where you leave your stop loss, the market may just take you out before the stock rallies, that's how they make their money !!!

Quick recap about limit orders.............. Clients often leave limit orders with banks, brokers etc. In this case some unfortunate client has left a buy order with a broker/bank with an execution price of 10% below the opening price. IG opened at 669 - 10% (66.9p) = 613p No doubt you will see a few more trades like this, i.e. a few more clients getting stuffed at higher levels. The official close today is 485.15, not a penny more nor a penny less !

......I don't think so. Maybe a quick google on 'Order book closing trade' will help clear any confusion. And I do hope that the 17.10 trade wasn't a private client or the like !!

There will be a bounce at some point tomorrow.................I will be poised at my keyboard. I may just ask for a price with IG in £250 per point !! (Yes, of course I'm still bitter !)

With the FCA showing its claws and sharpening their swords I wonder if this could be the next big compensation payout to clients................. Now that would really be a nice Christmas prezzie !!!

Go on the IG website and look for a quote for their own stock, guess what.................you won't find one !!! The amount of problems I have had with this company over the years, i.e. closing shorts, being taken out at the wrong stop losses, slippage etc. Am I bitter, well I was until today !!!!!
