Only mention of discovery in todays announcement was in the cautionary statement.

So where are they in terms of declaring a discovery?

Should a good day for holders. This backs up what HE1 announced and would indicate a massive HE system across the 2 companies.

He1 is 4.7% but from the deeper Karoo formation, which touches the basement/source rocks. They also stated that the deeper they went the recorded data showed increase in He levels. We havent gone deep into the Karoo yet.

This release to me is a bit vague.

In Fig. 2 They seem to compare helium concentrations with helium concentrations in the gas part of reservoirs elsewhere most of the Helium concentrations are in natural gas (hydrocarbon) reservoirs. e.g. Australia, Qatar

I don't understand how you can saturate water with an inert gas, it cant dissolve as it does not react.

My guess is that the helium is in micro-bubbles in the water, it is not 2.5% of the reservoir but 2.5% of the gas that is freed from the water when the pressure is released and the micro-bubbles expand.

So how much He is really there? I think they really need to explain this better.

Agreed that if you pump out the water from the reservoir Helium will be released and this might result in a substantial amount of Helium.

In previous reports they say there are examples in the US of this being done but I cant find any details.

This helium resource will be massive but it will take Mr Market a while to figure it all out. Not only do we have an excellent result, as other posters have said we have not even drilled into the formations below the Lake Beds and thats where its thought the helium concentrations will be even higher ( as He1 has shown in their Rukwa drilling) not to mention these formations are much thicker as well.

Good outcome, 2.5% with over 200% increase in net pay should reflect nicely in a revised resevoir estimate Will only get better and better in my view. Porosity looking exceptionally good to

The company is targeting helium reserves that are 1300 meters below the surface which is large enough to revive the global helium market. The company is targeting the dams in Rukwa next year, which according to the agency Liberum, can produce 350,000 mcf of helium per year. Equivalent to the value of 94 million US dollars.

A potential opportunity to define the helium market

According to information sources in Tanzania, the Renewable Helium Resource that is not endangered in the Rukwa base project region amounts to 138 billion bcf according to local geological experts, the reserve is the largest helium base known in the world. This has the potential to significantly reduce the global shortage in gases that are used in the medical diagnostic industry.

This was written in Dec 2022 Helium is now 3 times more expensive. Ball park 300 million dollars and hydrogen per year.

In a very positive update, HE1 has confirmed the company has successfully completed all wireline logging and drill stem testing (DST) operations at Itumbula West-1 well, Tanzania. Importantly, the well flowed a high concentration of helium to surface from the basement, at a measured concentration up to 4.7% - equating to c.9,000x above background levels. In addition, the well flowed hydrogen to surface during basement testing, at a concentration of 2.2% hydrogen, >37,000x above background levels. Downhole fluid samples have been obtained from three separate well test intervals, in the basement and across the fault zones, all were analysed at surface in an onsite pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) laboratory and indicated the presence of elevated helium.

Our take: Today’s update represents a significant event for HE1 with results from the down hole well testing confirming the presence of a producing helium province in the Rukwa Rift Basin. Flowing helium to surface in high concentrations will be well received by investors ahead of further evaluation to determine commerciality. BUY.

Usually an appraisal well would be drilled, but it sounds like this might become a production well. Which would involve a full well test etc.

There's no set amount of drills to develop the field. It all depends on the size of the resevior as per the seismic data.

If they have actually found the source, this really is like finding the holy grail, no wonder it's all smiles
