Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
Hi Manlord, this has been debated many times over the years and I've heard conflicting arguments over it.
My understanding of the rationale behind this is that your broker is less likely to offer your shares to borrow (to short sellers) against your stock holding if there is already have a limit order on them.
I'm sure there's no harm in it but does it actually work like that?
I'm OK with joining in the fun - maybe sombody with L2 can report how many they are seeing?

Nice find Praetor
"The Hunan Energy International Cooperation Industry Alliance signed a framework cooperation agreement with the China-Africa Mining Group (C CCM) Congo-Brazzaville iron ore project."
The Congo-Brazzaville iron ore project. We know one of those but, serious question, if this was NOT Zanaga the who else could it be? Are there any known iron ore reserves in C-B waiting to be developed other than Zanaga?
I'm not aware of one - anyone?
Agreed ogm4 - it could be related to EEE's Eclipse-Gindalbie prospect. But if this was the case then why not remind the market that EEE has a gold prospect there?
It's a bit cryptic for my liking.
Still heaviliy commited here, BTW
I also wondered if Empire's tweets were hinting about gold in the cores at Pitfield.
Actually, I wish Empire (and others) wouldn't do this. If they have XRF (or similar) data showing gold in the Pitfield drill cores then let's have an RNS. If not, why release tweets which could be misinterpreted by investors? Either way it's not a good look for Empire and IMO it's not the way that credible companies should behave.

I note the SP is back in the 5's today
The range of possible outcomes in the Middle East seems to be the elephant in the room here.
I would imagine that the priorities may change for both the Saudis and the Emirates should the Gaza/Israel situation escalate. IMO such an escalation of sorts is almost inevitable.
- Israel has already attacked 2 international airports in Syria - Damascus and Aleppo (you won't hear much about this on the BBC, etc)
- Hezbollah is making noises about an attack if/when the Israeli ground attack on Gaza happens. They are reported to have >100,000 rockets of far greater sophistication than those used by Hamas. Shots have already been fired and Israel is threatening both Hezbollah and the broader population of Lebanon with a level of destruction consistent with a nuclear attack.
- Will Iran stand-by and watch their Syrian, Lebanese and Gazan brothers be anhilated?
- USA has a carrier fleet in the Eastern Med
- Russia has military assets in Syria
- will Turkey become involved?
- the Chinese reportedly have 6 warships in the Gulf region. Will they stand-by and watch their new friend Iran attacked?
It's a powder keg and Biden's at the US helm. There's a lot that could go very wrong.
In the meantime, we can all place our bets on how likely our big pay day is in the current environment.
Leveraged short ETF's are available on the S&P, Nasdaq, DAX and FTSE. Long ETF's on gold, wheat and Brent also. Just saying. GLA
It was very unlikely that they would hit titanium in the RC drills as they were looking for copper. Finding titanium instead of copper was fairly embarrassingly unexpected
Let's wait and see and expect the unexpected
By now the Pitfield drill crew should have several hundred metres of drill cores in their possession. If they've hit copper mineralisation it should be pretty clear from the cores - certainly more obvious than the bags if TiO dust found in the previous RC campaign. IMO it will be harder to stop leaks this time.
I cannot wait for the next RNS. GLA
I have been thinking what might consitute a 'success' regarding the current 3 diamond drill campaign at Pitfield.
We've been told that the Pitfield region hosts mineralisation to great depths and the Ti grades found thus far appear to be excellent. So I'm expecting more Ti but is it possible that we hit Cu instead? Even Ag has also been mentioned. This is an odd situation to be in!
For Ti >100m at >4% for >100m I'd call a success and expect a steep SP rally. If Cu is hit I'd say that >100m intersections at >1% would be similar.
I'm not expecting assay results until 2nd half of November at earliest but before then I hope SB might RNS some drill core photos and/or XRF analysis from the cores before they go to the lab.
Any thoughts?
Who would've thought it - "Manlord The Merciful"? 😁
(I'll make sure it never happens again)
But seriously, I felt I needed to take some profit and reduce my EEE exposure to just 60% of my portfolio (that's not a joke).
