The Lusaka High Court has ordered Moxico Resources Zambia Limited and Euroafrica Kalengwa Mines Limited to pay US$ 21 million damages to Kalengwa Mineral Processing, the rightful owners of Kalengwa Mines in Mufumbwe district, North-Western Province.

This follows a judgment dated September 22, 2023, in which Judge Edward Musona declared Kalengwa Mineral Processing as the rightful owners of Kelengwa Mines and should, therefore, continue their operations.

He also ordered for Moxico Resources Zambia Limited and Euroafrica Kalengwa Mines Limited to pay damages to be quantified by the deputy registrar for the theft and pilfering of the plaintiff’s plant and equipment.

Activist Gatemore speaks out after Lord Drayson ejected from Sensyne

The activist investor who ousted Lord (Paul) Drayson from his artificial-intelligence healthcare company said the former Labour minister “did a lot wrong” before a painful restructuring in which existing shareholders were almost wiped out.
Liad Meidar, managing director of Gatemore Capital Management, backed an emergency financing to save Sensyne Health and said it was unlikely that Drayson “would be the right person to undo what he has done over the past two years”.
Drayson’s departure from the troubled healthcare technology company that he founded came after a string of corporate governance issues, including £1 million of secret bonuses to Drayson and the company’s former finance officer.

Will the Lord, the largest shareholder, who I think considers this is his Company allow his shareholdings to be massively diluted? Could he be building up his % for a buyout or even to vote against a approval??( to waive any requirement for the Noteholders to make a mandatory offer for the Company under Rule 9 of the Takeover Code.).

The review identified approximately 471 million of warrants issued in April and May 2019 which are due to expire at the end of December 2020. After careful review and giving full consideration to both the delays at the La Parrilla tungsten and tin project and the global effects of Covid-19 the Company has decided to extend the expiry date of these warrants to 31 December 2021.
