Don't know if I'm missing something but surely the most likely outcome from CB's point of view would be to offload Xtract to a major which would then sell off the bits it didn't want. Everybody is talking about CB's retirement in relation to Bushranger but having trousered a big pay check from a major, I would have thought he wouldn't then, as an octagenarian, wish to bring on the smaller bits of Xtract.
That is also my own wish.

I have to agree with lbjj on this one. The deadline for submission of BEM's comments hasn't even expired yet so there is no way on God's earth that a decision is imminent. Let's not forget there have been 3 occasions in the last 18 months alone where the SP has spiked above 6p on rumour. Just the MMs making some money. Move along folks, nothing to see here.....YET.

Cardo . Massoud Alikhani was a crook as regards BMR (or Berkeley Mineral Resources as it was then known). His cheating and lies almost destroyed the company. Then Borrelli rode in as the white Knight on his steed to save the company, but bizarrely allowed Alikhani a get out of jail free card in the form an Ernest Saunders style alzheimer's plea and payment of a mere £1 million in reparations, a fraction of what he had cost shareholders.
Borrelli promptly changed the name to BMR and awarded himself millions of share options then basically gave away an in ground asset of over £1 billion for a pittance having gradually got rid of other assets cheaply to keep the gravy train going.
Enter Bird and another change of name and of course a big can to further kick down the road. Some of these people should hang their heads in shame.

I hear what you say sparrow and in most normal T/O situations I wouldn't disagree with you.
But this company is no longer majority owned by PIS, more likely a small group of interested companies who will vote through a lower value takeover. I'm afraid your dreams of a takeover bounty are shattered. I'm just hoping for a few pence more per sharenow and looking at the opening price today, that's starting to look unlikely.

Sparrow. You certainly have a more positive outlook on VOG's future independence than many other PIS, I would suggest.
I was hoping we might see a spike to somewhere near to the proposed price of new shares and was going to exit.
But whilst we always see a drop in sp for discounted placings, we don't see the same for premium placings.
No surprise really as the sp was clearly walked down recently in anticipation of this.

We are not.
We are standing still until a decision is made one way or the other. And in the meantime we become poorer each year, partly through share price and partly through dilution.

Sorry sparrow but frankly that's bulcaca. The company has never said all answers are in the strictest confidence for yours eyed only and repeating such answers would not be detrimental to any future discourse you may have with vog.
They should release answers to the website for all shareholders but as always with vog it's "divide and rule"

You cannot compare that placing with now. This company is so far removed from then that it makes such comparisons fatuous. IMHO

I agree wholeheartedly with comments decrying the negativity. I can understand it with basket case companies where directors are once removed from crooks and snake oil salesmen, and I admit to my own negative comments in such circumstances. But this company is in a whole different league , well managed and with exponential growth year on year, plus great prospects.
Ihad 300k at 2.5p but gradually sold down to 100k into the last year's rise. Am now buying again and am up to 140k including 20k at the close today.
I suspect the moaners are here today, gone tomorrow traders who are coming to the end of their T20 periods and panicking.
