Synthetic graphite has a higher density than natural graphite with a thermal conductivity of about 700-1500w while natural graphite is about 300-700w. Price difference – Synthetic graphite is significantly more expensive than natural graphite owing to the manufacturing process which is quite energy intensive

Significantly more expensive is probably why it goes to China with subsidised energy prices therefore problem still exists and there is huge huge pipelines of orders for BESS let alone EV batteries however you look at it graphite could rocket

LTO has a lower energy density very high cost and no as compact a bit like a VFB but without the fire safety and lifespan
