The Electrical Design Network assumes the average 3 bedroom house uses an average 1kwh per hour over day.
Thats 24kwh per day.
The country has 35,000,000 cars not including vans, and 27,000,000 houses thats 1.3 cars per house.
A nissan leaf has a battery capacity of 50 kwh on average.
So the average house needs up to 1.3x50 65kwh charging capacity to fullycharge 1.3 cars thats 41kwh capacity shortage if you charge the cars over 24hours not overnight.
SO THERE IS GOING TO BE MASSIVE SHORTAGE OF CHARGING CAPACITY.
how do we cope with this.
you might remember you are now being forced to install smart meters.
the next step is to control your electricity supply and limit the ammount of electricity?
and restrict you to charge your car once every 3 days.
this does include your normal electricity compsumption.
