More like dumb and dumber!
Hi MC, The problem is we don't know or at least I don't know what the contractual agreement (to trial) MSAR was between Maersk and QFI! Maersk probably had the upper hand in negotiations, so there could have been many clauses or sub clauses, which until such times they make a decision on their direction, we will never know. Maersk clearly own the trial data and will not release it. I have only been Invested here for 5 years plus change and bought in and added on what was happening when IW was at the helm. It did then, and still does appeal to me as a great Investment, but am I frustrated with the time lag and decay on supposed contracts, yes really fed up and frustrated. I do however feel that it will be the best Investment I ever made, and I think there is massive scope to build business. We are in one of the most conservative sectors in the market. Nothing is decided on quickly and as usual competion antics always take priority in the boardroom.
Cheers Prep. This to me confirms that Maersk like MSAR, stopped it from becoming a sellable commodity on the open market, and will turn full circle just as the industry is in full panic, as the deadline creeps up. They then announce that they made a mistake and are now going down the scrubber and cleaner fuel route. They are well ahead of the competition in that they have data they are satisfied with ( still not released) so sit back, let untestested low sulphur fuel wreck half the global fleet, then flip a last minute ace!
Morning guys, I have been a member of the QFI forum for many years. This weekend the forum wont let me log in, and keeps asking for a password change. Then it wont let me sign in! Any ideas? Sorry to clutter up this BB but I don't know how else to get in touch. Regards Ben
So what the RNS stated on Monday is true! Recall from the half year report ( pasted below). In power generation, since the signing of the MoU in the KSA in August 2016, we have significantly increased our activities in support of this large-scale production to combustion trial. This has included regular meetings with all parties and significant technical and engineering input to our clients and their advisors, to ensure that they have appropriate and up to date information on which to base their decisions. An important element of this engagement has been the ability to host a visit to the MSAR(R) facility at Cepsa's refinery - demonstrating the ability of Quadrise to successfully design, procure, commission and operate a commercial scale MMU in an operating refinery environment. Our input accelerated sharply from December 2016 onwards and we believe that this is having a positive impact on project progress, with the timetable still being based on the KSA trial commencing during the final quarter of 2017. Basically, they have taken more of a control over co-ordination and because of this things have moved along. The third parties are starting to be discovered through excellent work from { FYOZ and Rob, Prep h,..........n,}. I guess it wont be long now!
Just been having a chat and the question of MMU came up! I wrote the following: Working in conjunction with various entities within KSA and from Europe and the US, Quadrise has taken a central coordination role, and has progressed the project to a point that it can commence immediately once all parties have agreed the multiple bilateral contracts and the triparty contract that define the overall project. Surely the MMU must be in place! No authority here, but if it isn't then I doubt the contracts will provide for a 12 month delay. So does anyone else think that once contracts have been signed then they will install the MMU? How can they sign contracts if they have not covered all points of due diligence? It does not make sense,
I actually think this is a really good up-date. Think about the complex contracts and negotiations going on between KSA, Europe, USA. That is massive. I was not expecting anything more!
