Final divi was 5p last year. With a 20% increase it should be 6p making a total of 8.7p for the year.

It's likely to climb above 250p in the coming days imo .

Barclays makes 40% of it's profits outside the UK . That business alone is worth over 15 billion pounds imo.

Dividend is up from 3.5p in the first half last year to 5.5p this year. Final is likely to be much higher .

Sorry for some typing errors in my last post.

Durindg covid the UK government ordered the banks not to pay any dividend. In the US no such restriction was put on their bank. Investors from overseas and this country have lost confidence in the UK banks since then. UK goverment intervenes too much in banks but in the wrong areas imo.

Writing in The Telegraph, Mr Farage demands a “root-and-branch examination” of the bank’s behaviour under Dame Alison’s stewardship.

It should be done and it'll be good for the bank too. But remember the major shareholder of Natwest is the government itself and they're not going to destroy it.

Same story, nothing new.

"Following a detailed review by management, revenue, margins and cashflow for the year to 31 December 2023 are now expected to be substantially ahead of current market expectations.

This statement clearly points the numbers are going to be be excellent .

British shares are best for income seekers. In the USA they don't pay dividend as generously as here.

Net assets have grown more than 21% over the year and the dividend is 4.51% at the current price. Extremely good investment for income and growth IMO.

Since the recent TU it's clear the growth is likely to continue for the foreseeable future . It looks very cheap even to me now. GLA

On top of the normal dividend CLDN pays special dividends from time to time too. It paid 175p special dividend in June 2022.

A good oppertunity to top up imo.
