Oh and bring the Xmas hampers back. I miss those.
Great 2.6% pay rise back dated and down to a 37 hours a week would do me for this year.
I'm with wolves on this one. Quite a few of those isolating are back now but they have health problems so can only sit sorting letters but letters volumes are still reduced and letters is already over staffed so the sit chatting. Some supposedly have disabilities and so can have as much time off as they like and can't be gotten rid of so they are paid to do nothing.
And the more money were losing.
Our office, parcels up 20%, d2d down, letters dunno? Flats well down. If RM are discussing USO what are they asking for and what changes do CWU want!
AB wouldn't it be better to raise nurses wages rather than lower postmans?
The business is in trouble and it's easy to blame it on posties T's& C's but we only get decent pay, nothing obscene like some people. Even if we were on minimum wage we wouldn't be able to compete because we can never have the amount of parcel automation that others firms do due to all the weird shapes and sizes and multiple different types of packaging the parcels that we sort come in. Selling a small selection of different size boxes at the post office and insisting that only they can be used when posting parcels would solve the problem. Or hundreds of millions are made each year by companies handling business mail. Cancelling DSA and returning the monopoly on letters to RMG would cover any loss made on parcels.
Wolves, you lose any credibility when you insult people and call them names. 1-0 to me today and 10- 0 over the last few weeks. But I suppose you will be use to 0 score being from wolves.
The problem at Xmas will be finding enough agency staff to do the work.
Wolves, 1. I'm on this board as a good Samaritan, trying to save pi's from losing money investing in RMG. 2. I'm employed by Royal Mail because it's a great place to work. Great atmosphere, worry free, reasonable pay. Easy life. Like it should be working everywhere. Thank you CWU.
I don't think the virus is temperature sensitive. Worst hit are some of USA hot states and Brazil, Mexico and India. I think we will see a second wave though.
Can't pay we'll take it away.
Stupid question wolves. How would me not taking vr save someone's job? Why should I care If RM make a profit? Profits go to shareholders. Don't say to save jobs, please. We are busier than ever. Employing more people than ever and losing more money than ever. More pay, more work, more jobs and the tax payer will have to pay for it.
It's in the latest Courier JBT.
Selfish to want the best for my family? Foolish not to. VR would suit me fine.
Yikes!
I will be surprised if they ever pay a dividend again. Management are going to need some kind of bailout which is bound to have a condition that no dividend is paid. Let's hope we get our pay rise and sww sorted quickly.
