I have to agree. I work at a University and testing is being bought in on campus for staff and students who show symptoms. The swab test is horrible and something like this would be so much better! Also the current faff re going on holiday could be helped greatly by a device like this. But, as a first time investor in this sort of thing I bought in at 42p, bought a second tranch this morning and got stung! Serve me right. Might as well stay in though longterm..
Thank you! I got badly burnt on Scancell a few years back and then sold in July. Wish I had kept my investment in now so lesson learnt there! Off to look at what "FOMO" means now.. At least my Fridays off work are now interesting watching the ticks up and down. Back to work now :-)
Just to say thank you to all the posters on here and the intelligent discussions re this. As a novice I am finding it all very interesting. I only have £1K invested so "small fry" and have a nervous trigger finger constantly poised on "SELL". However, on balance, am staying in for now.. I would not have invested if I could not afford to lose it but hoping for a good outcome even if have to wait until next year. This share is my riskiest one!
Thanks for the welcome! I intend to hold in Ocado and possibly buy a bit more. Got burnt on TTG but sold before it hit its current low. Very small time investor here with only £5k invested In 3 sets of shares but at a 14% return better than seeing it in a 0.01% interest account.
As a newbie I did have shares in TTG. Stupid me. I lost some money when the shares dropped 5% but got out after I read that report! Last time I checked it was down 12.5% so could have been worse. Hoping Avacta makes up for it.
New investor here. Only have 1k worth in Ocado but it’s a start! Saw this this morning in the DM (don’t shoot me!)
Useful for Ocado or do we think Amazon will get the deal?
The UK'S test and trace system could be outsourced to a delivery giant such as Amazon, it was reported last night.
Ministers are said to be planning to hand over the running of the testing service to a logistics firm as the system struggles to cope with increased demand for tests.
A invitation to bid for a contract covering the management of the entire 'end-to-end' supply chain will be issued next month, The Daily Telegraph reported.
A Government source said 'experts in delivery services' were needed. 'At the moment, the management of NHS Test and Trace has been in-house but, as we go into winter, we need experts in this area to take it forward,' they said.
