I didn't like to read this! Will it affect the likes of Avacta and ODX? Or nothing to worry about. Sounds like our gov. is screwing up again.. Is the "Moonshot" going ahead?

This is interesting! Presumably the UK gov. will still go ahead with saliva tests if they can come up with a gold standard. Don't know what to think about ASmith selling to buy a house - he still has a large stake here.

Thanks to all who replied to this. I was hoping I could just transfer the shares across rather than have to sell them! Might look at the safe options of ESF etc..blended with some higher risk shares. Just getting into this. I am a lower rate taxpayer so the CGT would be 10% on gains after the taxfree threshold is reached. It has got to be better than the 0.01% interest rates on my savings account. 15 years is a bit long to wait to take the profits - looking more in 5 years time when coming up to retirement!

I only have a few £ invested in here so far but can I transfer the shares to an isa account and add to them up to the value of £20K? Currently have a normal shares account with Halifax online and a normal savings isa with them (which is pretty useless). Any advice greatly appreciated :-)

I’m in avacta and odx too. Currently taking a hit on odx so wondering whether to cut my losses or let it run for a while. Like Woodgar I’m pretty new to this too! Should have kept my Sareum shares but didn’t!

My only concern about this is the dragging of feet by the gov when try have right of first refusal. If the government are hedging their bets they could be the cause of the loss of a big third party sale. That said I see good news here and a LTH for me.
