Gold soaring, Ariana flat lining, same old same old
Ditto re building a cash reserve for events like this, I've learnt a lesson in these last few torrid sessions and it is infuriating I cannot snap up some more, but the snag is I was thinking it was the bottom a couple of days ago, how wrong could I be? I would have paid a lot more than they're costing now but at least it would have pulled my average down in some small consolation. Just goes to show that calling the bottom is pure chance if you get it right
Onwards and upwards
So there it is another full on day rout of LGEN (and the others being pummelled currently) It looks like a full on Lemming stampede as captitulation sees a never ending plunge in the LGEN SP. Is it mass panic or does all these sellers know something I don't?
I'm of the 'weather the storm mentality they'll bounce back brigade', my biggest annoyance at this time is that I don't have
any funds to hoover up as many of these shares as I can at such a steep discount. It'll just be my luck for them to have rebounded back by the time I can buy again.
Good luck all!
Just sentiment I believe, many shareholders displaying classic capitulation, if you don't need the money now just ride out the storm and wait for the bounce back, plus if I can I'll be topping up as often as funds permit while the share is unloved
Good luck all
I imagine it's not a happy state of affairs to be domiciled in Turkey at the moment, inflation is out of control and wage demands must be soaring especially I imagine within a company like AAU that is so profitable. All well and good that AAU would be very able to look after their staff but the mismanagement of the Turkish economy and its Weimar republic inflation trajectory could lead to emergencey measures down the line, increased taxation etc. I would much prefer to see AAU based here in the UK but it's not going to happen for all the known reasons i.e the JV, KS and his Turkish ancestry etc.
However with all the other geographically spread investments, Cyprus etc it would make sense further down the road for the company to become far less Turkish centric should opportunities for that become more focused. Right now I beleive the SP malaise has a lot to do with AAU being head quartered in Turkey, IMO sentiment would be much better if it weren't for that.
A Turkey domiciled company in a country with raging inflation approaching 90% plus it's President publicly cosying up to Putin does not make for attractive sentiment whether deserved or otherwise.
Barclays: Fundamentals Indicate Strong Upside

Summary
Major financial services companies are trading ridiculously cheap. But the valuation for European banks, including Barclays, is borderline ridiculous.
Barclays is the UK's biggest investment bank with diversified revenue exposure to retail and investment banking, wealth management and global markets.
Barclays is trading at P/E of 3.9x and a P/B of incredible 0.3x.
I believe that investors who accumulate at these levels will enjoy 100% upside within 3 years.
I support my argument with a residual earnings valuation, which implies a fair implied share price for BCS of $15.14. Strong Buy.
Land Rover are developing Hydrogen engines for the new Defender having decided that batteries would add too much weight to already heavy vehicles and would not provide sufficient range. They cite that it is likely that most HGV's, Buses etc will be powered by Hydrogen.
