Myosotis That's an interesting conspiracy theory you've put together there. One thing I can't quite follow with it is why we'd rush putting out an RNS to smooth over the leaking of bad news regarding an increase in cost for the tunneling of the MTS. If Fraser had suspected the increase in cost for tunneling was being leaked then why not just ignore it? It would then just be a rumour. The shares would fall in value perhaps, but not as much as they did on Thursday. Then, when stage 2 is in the bag on the back of confirmed 3mtpa off takes it could all be released together in one definitive RNS, ameliorating any sting in tail caused by extra funding requirement. Whilst I don't dispute a concerted and underhand campaign orchestrated by some of our more concerned competitors I think the real reason for this week's announcement is rather more prosaic than your weekend's musing. Namely, it is what it is: the finalisation of a price sensitive contract released to the market by a company that does everything by the book. Albeit wrapped up in a more broader update to help take the sting out of its tail.

Duracell What you could do is call the company and just ask them. I've called them a couple of times in the past when I've had queries and they've been very helpful and approachable. Another thing you could do is go onto the FCA website and see whether you are able as a private investor to fill out a STOR form (Suspicious Trading and Order Report). I'd certainly do both of those things if I felt as annoyed as you and some others clearly do. Hope this helps.

Andygolf I say this with the utmost sincerity as I've always valued your posts and your viewpoint regarding our investments here. I am indeed a long term holder, but as I've said in the past I refuse to get emotionally attached here and should not think twice about selling all of my stock should things look very uncertain for the future, despite being here since 2p. With the greatest of respect I think you may have overlooked one important factor when saying long term holders should reflect (paraphrasing) regarding yesterday's announcement. Namely, some of us may have already prepared and been aware of such an announcement. Of course I don't mean specifically concerning what was revealed yesterday, but more so that we've been of the opinion things weren't going to go as others were forecasting and that something like this could happen. I think that's why some have been able to absorb it better than others because it was always on our radar. I'm thinking of topping up yet again. But I'm holding off at the moment as I don't think this has fully shaken out yet.

Myosotis Yes agreed it is small beer compared to what we shall earn. Today's early morning reaction was just over the top herd mentality from what I can see driven by many who probably hadn't even read the RNS in detail. To be honest I haven't had chance in my working day to read it fully. But then again I'm not panic selling.

Oh my word! Just tuned in to see share price! LMAO. Feels like the sweet shop owner has popped out for the day and forgot to lock up. All this activity on site. Things progressing fantastically and we get a drop like this. Thirty five years in the stock market (except for literally two minutes back in the mid nineties) should have me expecting this so close to such a vitally important RNS. People get jittery, despite their so called belief and confidence all shall be okay. A few jump and a bit of the herd mentality can take hold. Time to raid the sweeties before the shopkeeper gets back me thinks at these prices. Gonna fill my pockets with all I can get hold of ready for the next turn and move upwards.

I've just read the Motley Fool article as my newsagent has just told me my comic this week hasn't arrived. It goes through the whole process in due detail regarding tonnes per annum, EBITDA extrapolations, price per tonne differences etc etc leading up to some kind of professional, well thought out explanation as to why the headline 50% drop in share price may occur, only for the contributor to then randomly pick out a 50% fall out of thin air in the closing sentence. What a crock of shite. I still think we should name our fleet of container ships after these scare mongering idiots on Motley Fool.

Let's hope we don't get something like an episode of Auf Wiedersehen Pet when our contractors have a kick around with their football. Mind you the publicity wouldn't hurt.
