We now have another hedge that has gone over 0.5%. He was one of the outfits to short Darktrace before they were taken over. I am surprised they managed to survive after that. I wonder who will show uo tomorrow, perhaps Wace. They certainly do hunt in packs and there will be a lot of shares to buy back.

Yes, I would like to see a share buy back too rather than dividends. If the Vat comes back and a sale of an asset then it's game on for a proper re rate. If MM had the funds it would be a great card to have up his sleeve to keep the shorts at bay.

With regards to the VAT reclaim I would prefer to have circa £80m coming in to reduce debt than it going the other way and £80m going out. THG is not being valued correctly because of these feckless hedge funds. I really hope the scum get their comeuppance.

I think the other hedge funds sitting on the sidelines will be a bit concerned about the latest hedge fund to go over 0.5%. They want to check out the relationship with them and CK Hutchinson. I have said that a hedge fund has been used to lower the share price for a takeover. Didn't someone on here even suggest that THG rejected a deal with Superdrug.

It's not surprising its a quantitive hedge fund. Perhaps they should have informed this out dated algorithm system of some of the potential news flow coming in the next six months.

I reckon MM was right about 20% of the free float being shorted. Well if he does come out with a positive VAT update and a possible asset sale then we will have a squeeze. I really hope MM burns the bar stewards.

Kelso are raising some more money. I wonder if that is to increase their cfd trading in THG.

I wonder if Kelso are still considering of having another go for MP as it doesn't look like they have been looking elsewhere. They reserved the right to reconsider discussions with THG so it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that the likes of Kelso and Belerion are putting pressure on the share price.

There has been many talks of concert party's here but are the likes of Kelso, Belerion, and MA friends or foes of MM. They all want to make money but will they want to do that together or by themselves. I personally don't think MM will do a deal with any of them.

No doubt they want to close the shorts before the VAT update.

Stanley - I'm not responsible for having your post deleted. I was replying to your post so I was hardly going to have it removed but I am intrigued to whom you think makes up MM's concert party. Somebody is playing with the share price and keeping it down but I doubt MM is doing it as that would be illegal.

So who is part of the concert party Stanley? MM's and MA's holding must be around 36%. How about Belerion and Kelso could they not be part of it or are they responsible for the daily movements by trading.

We will have to wait and see won't we.

Profits will come but the company is vulnerable to a takeover all the time the share price is at 30p. The share price is being played with on relatively small volume.

Not to mention the partnership deals and the potential VAT reclaim. It's in a better position now than a few years ago when the share price was more than double and the net debt was over £530m. Manipulation is going on here for sure.

Ingenuity was different as the city wanted it gone as the capex was too high. There is no way that MM would offer 50p as he has already turned down 170. Don't forget he has also turned down £600m from Selkirk for Myprotein. The share price went to 30p a few years ago and when Apollo were interested they went over 100. If there is a whiff of a takeover the same will happen again. In the meantime THG have reduced debt and made some great partnerships with household names. Patience is required.

My take is that it has been held down for a takeover. I wonder if Ashley has anything to do with it!!!

I am surprised that there has been no director buying apart from MM's since October 24 when they were paying in the late 40's. I am sure that a lot of shareholders have bought at these levels to average down and why aren't they? Perhaps they are waiting for the reward shares which should be on hold until they make a profit after tax. You think that they would be embarrassed to see the share price at 30p considering they like to advertise the fact on Linkedin as to how well they are doing. Put your money where your mouth is directors and buy some shares.

I have been adding today. It looks like there could be a deal made with regards to Iran. Not too long for the VAT outcome which should propel this over 40 if they get the rebate. The price is still a bit below MM's last purchase and about half the price of the brokers targets which are on the conservative side.

If the decision goes in favour of HMRC then at least THG have carried on paying the VAT unlike some of their competitors and what will they do with their pricing going forward?
