S&P chief business economist says the UK is facing a "stagflationary environment" in which anaemic economic growth is coupled with high inflation.

Businesses are cutting jobs at the fastest rate in four years in the wake of Rachel Reeves autumn budget.

PMI for January from S&P Global which is closely monitored by The Bank of England & the Treasury signalled the average prices charged by UK private sector firms are rising at the fastest pace in 18 months.

Employers are also cutting jobs at the fastest pace since the height of the COVID pandemic 2021.

My largest sector holding now is LGEN, followed by PHNX ,AV, MNG.

What's interesting for me......AV & PHNX (507p) parity. PHNX has a higher yield however AV capital gain over the past 12 months + 17% where as PHNX is flat.

Crystal ball is Wonderful & like most LSE bb sites many sold just before COVID, had patience & bought the 2020 lows 🤣🤣
