Is their a technical reason the additional compressor hasn't been installed earlier? ...or is it simply related to either funds, time to build it/deliver to site, or is it related to the side track, i.e. deemed timely for additional sidetrack capacity?
Thanks for any education on the matter.
@RT003
I am not a BEAR upfront before I ask this, just want to understand/explore both sides.
Wingas abandoned storage at the site as they said (at the time) it wasn't feasible due to the difficult geological structure. Have Angus got around that, or is it the unit price of gas that is different this time around?
Thks.
Has ANGS have got around the "difficult geological structure, which called into question the profitability of the Wingas storage facility" to be able to make this sidetrack and storage a success - or does the risk still remain?
Does everyone believe that ANGS have got around the "difficult geological structure, which called into question the profitability of the Wingas storage facility" to be able to make this a success, or does the risk still remain?
For any process experts here: What are the headline risks that accompany this process? and how are they time-phased e.g. prep to drill, on drill, extraction etc. I have no O&G field experience, therefore any insights would be splendid!
Thank you.
Baits was on the money yesterday:
"MMs want to see earnings that Angus can book after the edge, concrete earnings, not the ones investors post on BB boards.We need those figures before we go anywhere. Even with the 2nd compressor running it will mean nothing to the MMs till they see what Angus are putting in the bank. Once this happens we should get a substantial uplift in the share price,"
Not really government this, its all about repeat profits/earnings that are more than just paying back the hedge. If the company raise money before that with a placing, then this will hurt the SP.
Could the 2nd compressor be plumed in and operational without sidetrack - is the sidetrack fundamental to the planned infra they will install?
Does someone have insight on the dependency between the two, and why Angus couldn't have got on with 2nd compressor install after stabilisation of compressor 1 flow?
"any price around 1.5p will be hoovered up.......longer term I see 5-10p as production increases.......dyor"
That's the thing, there are no catalysts today until Angus proves the sidetrack and/or 2nd compressor - there is risk around the sidetrack, and the market will wait for show me instead of buying the risk unless the price gets into the 1.5p or lower range.
The price targets posted - its not clear at what timescale they are... i.e. post sidetrack and 2nd compressor? Sidetrack, 2nd compressor, and mid Feb when its freezing cold and gas reserves are being used at a rate? 12-months time and includes Weald oil plays? geothermal next phase announced, including a capital raise?
What if we are not successful with the sidetrack and yet we install a 2nd compressor - will that be seen as a negative?
