I only bought in to this one on Monday after a weekend of research and I set my own personal target at 152p. Check my previous posts as proof. I'm only 0.055p off the average.
I guess my research paid off and picked up a little knowledge.
Gary, how is this deramping? He's asked a very honest question that you're reading in a very negative way.
The worst possible outcome might be that the sale price reaches 80p instead of 250p. Just because he's asked the question it doesn't mean he's expecting a crash down to 5p.
Get a grip.
Very good question that I personally don't know a realistic answer to but it is a question that investors should ask themselves. We all hope for the very best to make our profits but very few investors look for the negatives that would ultimately cost them money.
The new poster asked a very good question and one that should be answered by every investor. It's all very good to expect the best but you should also consider the worst. Things can go wrong and often do go wrong. The new poster hasn't suggested that a bad outcome is likely, they're simply asking a question. So wind you neck in and realise that the SP can head down as well as up from where we are today.
I'm not going to advice anyone to place a stop loss but they can work in your favour.
If you buy at 100p and place a stop loss at 80p then the SP continues to fall to 50p it gives you an option to buy back in at a better position. The if the SP rises back to 100p you're already in profit rather than just breakeven if you'd held throughout.
Do your own research and make your own decisions. NEVER listen to advice on a BB.
I'm very interested to see what answers people come up with for this.
I've already gained entry on this one so you'll see no deramping from me here. Certainly want to get out as quick as possible though. I don't see this as a long term hold. Hoping to be out with a decent profit by the end of the month.
You make it sound like a bad thing. Not everyone has the same strategy on here.
I'm hoping to be a shorter myself. As soon as there is a reasonable rise, I'm out of here.
Someone else can take my shares for the long term.
Jaffy, I'd class myself as a relative newbie. I've been investing for many years but certainly wouldn't class myself as any kind of expert. If I set a sell limit, how would MMs steal my shares? Surely I can only sell if the price goes up to or above my limit.
If I have a limit of 150p and it eventually goes to 300p I don't see that as stealing shares, I see it as me getting out at a target I was happy with even if there was more potential there.
I've just bought in to this today at a price of 29.5p and immediately set an upper limit sell of 152p.
Some of the more adventurous predictions see this going a lot higher than 152p but I'll happily take that kind of profit and get the money in the bank instead of chasing higher paper profits.
