(Alliance News) - Windward Ltd on Wednesday said it was chosen by international police organisation Interpol for a contract that was entered into the second half of last year.
The Tel Aviv, Israel-based maritime predictive intelligence company said it is now able to publicly disclose the contract.
Windward will assist Interpol's mission to facilitate a secure maritime environment, providing intelligence and insights to help identify, track, and prevent illicit trafficking, human smuggling and illegal fishing.
Hasan Khajah, Coordinator of the Maritime Security Unit of Interpol says: "Tackling maritime crime has become a crucial mission for law enforcement agencies and Interpol. Windward shares rose 6.7% to 120.00 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.
